I need some advice Can any give me some suggestions, my 3 year old male Manolo, when he urinates he sprays on his long coat and Im always having to bath him off in the sink at night. I have also tried baby wipes but his urine smells like a skunk. So he rarely smells fresh. He is not sick I have had full blood work on him recently. I think its just him. Do all males with good hair, long smell like this? THANKS, Lissette

I can't help you there. Other than to keep him in a puppy cut. I have the same issue and I'm guessing that every one who has a male that lifts his leg in a long coat has the same issue.

Don't cut the hair off of the end of his winkie...it will act like a wick and direct the pee to the ground without getting his coat wet.

Trim his Hair on his Stomach I trim the Hair on Artie's stomach and I also give him a "Sanitary Shave" in his private areas. Usually if a male is NOT Fixed he has a discharge or a constant leak like a faucet? I noticed after I got Artie Fixed he is much cleaner and the odor is gone. I was told by my Vet. that the odor is from his Hormones. Is your Baby "Fixed" yet? I do a "Sanitary Shave" on my 2 females too. It keeps them alot cleaner. Both Artie & Pom Pom have their Tail hair braided, it's not only cute but it serves a function......their pooh pooh doesn't have anything to cling to. Sounds gross but I like to keep them extra clean since they all have long full coats. Some Clothes are real long on him and will get pee on them I just end up washing them, I never thought I would be doing Laundry for my Dogs but someone has to do it.
