| Worried Mom-Better Now!!! Hi all, just wanted to thank all those that responded to my thread about my little Dixie who was going for her spaying, microchipping and two baby teeth removed as well. I went and picked her up late this afternoon and she was so happy to see me. I had worn her little collar on my wrist for the two days that she was gone and happily put it back on her along with her little dress. Some of the attendants at the reception desk there looked at me like I was crazy but you know I really did not care about what they thought!! I took my 17 yr old son with me and tried to get him to carry her to my van but she did not want anyone else to hold her but me and did not want him to hold her driving home. She wanted me to hold her but I did not feel safe driving and holding her so I had to get my son to hold her on his lap. She is doing great, does not act any different or like she had any surgery at all. She has to go back in 10 days for suture and staple removal. They even took pictures of her impacted baby teeth so I could see them. The bill for spaying and tooth removal was $229.00. He charged $27.00 of it for the teeth removal. Microchipping was $40.00 written as a separate check for the service there that does that part of it. So $269.00 total. I was happy, I figured it would be like $300.00. My daughters yorkies, Teddy and Maxie were so happy to see her. I am trying to keep her from jumping or running and reasonably calm. This may be difficult. Right now she is sleeping. She was so hungry for food but I tried to only feed her a little bit because they recommended not to let her eat or drink too much at first. All of you that responded were so sweet with your words of encouragement for this old worried mom. My thanks to all of you!! |
