| My Yorkie Just Had Surgery! I decided to have Lily spayed. She will be 5 next month and I don't want her to have any more pups. Her pups tend to be on the tinier side and after losing one pup in her last litter......I decided I just can't go through that again with her! Poor baby has to wear a cone around her neck for the next 2 weeks. I give her Amoxicillin 2 times a day and a pain med 2 times a day as well. The vet told me that her surgery took a little longer because her ovaries were paper thin and didn't come out like they usually should. He had to cut her open a little more than usual because of this. He said that her heart rate went down to 75 beats per minute when a tiny dog as she is should be around 120 he said. Poor baby! She can't get in and out of the doggy door on her own with the cone on either. So I have to let her in and out. She's a trooper though!

| Glad to hear she came through it okay. The E-collar really stressed my out. I felt sad seeing Gus wear it. He adjusted to it in about 2 days, and it was like it was part of him which made me even sadder. You'll both get through it, and it was for a good reason. | Glad to hear she made it through surgery well. I hope that she continues to bounce back. Hugs to you both.
