| OMG...I am FREAKING OUT I arrange a monthly (or bi-monthly depending on demand) transport to a spay/neuter clinic that is about an hour away. I do all of the paperwork and they come and get the dogs/cats, do the surgery and bring them back the next day. Well Captain Jack has started hiking his leg and scratching off! He is only 5 months old!! So I sent him with the group today. They are a wonderful office and even have veterinarians that specialize in pediatric surgery. Well.... I just got a call from the owner of one of the cats that went today and her cat (moonpie) died during surgery. So I freaked out. I called over there. They explained the situation. Moonpie just stopped breathing during surgery and then his heart stopped. They tried to revive him, but couldn't. Captain Jack is in surgery right now and is doing good....but I am freaking out. I am so scared. He is already in surgery or I would have told them not to do it. They are sending Moonpie for a autopsy or whatever to see what happened. Please everyone..pray for my Captain Jack.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | HI, When an animal or person for that matter goes under anesthesia this can happen. Some just react badly to it. Also if the animal has a condition no ones knows about this could cause death, if not during the procedure then later. I had a 6 month old cat that died on me a few years back. His lungs had collapsed and he couldn't be saved. They said most likely there was some condition he had and when he went under it brought out the problems. My baby has been under anesthesia before and he was fine. Your will most likely be fine to. But I know that won't stop you from worrying cause I always do. |

| OMG...I am FREAKING OUT I understand exactly how you are feeling. Many years ago, we took our schnauzer in to have his ears cropped. (I'd never do that now!) We lost him on the table. I have a 5 mo Morkie which we've scheduled for his neutering in about 2 1/2 weeks. He's only 3.6# and I've questioned the vet extensively about the anesthesia. While she's explained that it's all based on his weight, I can't help but worry. Please let us know how all fares. |

| Blessing to Captain Jack! I am very happy that he made it out of surgery alright... Whew. That must be very nervewrecking. I have been postponing Dino's neutering because of how worried I would be. I am glad Captain Jack made it out alright He will be in your arms in no time giving you lots of yorkie kisses
