| How Is Shira Doing ? Its been a couple of weeks, has anyone heard how she is doing? I can't seem to find any recent thread on her condition. Her story touched my heart! Hope she's much better and on her way to recovery and a firever home soon. Does anyone have any information, please ? |

| I was really hoping to hear how she was doing too! I hope that she is moving around a little better these days...I was also hoping to make sure she got the package Bruce and I sent! This story was so sad for me to hear, and she was so adorable. I really wanted to adopt her when I thought she was fostered in Washington, it was heartbreaking to find out she was in Colorado. I hope United Yorkie Rescue has found her a good home!

| http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ighlight=Shira That is original post re: Shira Update from www.uyr.us Shira Update 8-9-05 Hi everyone. Thank you for all you've done for me! I can't believe how much better I feel in just a week. I felt really bad when I got home last week but I got some medicine to take the pain away and that really helped me sleep. This past week was not so good, but today I feel great! All the bruising on my tiny legs is gone, I can put pressure on my back feet too! I've been such a good girl, going potty outside when I get carried out to the grass. Not one accident, they take me out a lot! Right now two things are really bugging me......... this stoopid blue collar for one and these itchy stitches for another. Take off this collar and I will take care of the stitches myself!!! Everyone says my legs are nice and straight...... but we'll have to wait to see what the vet has to say about that next week. He's going to take my stitches out then too....... unless I get to them first! I'm so excited, I hope the week flies by so I can run and play and just be a doggie again. But my foster Mom says I have to take easy for a long time, to be sure my legs heal. boo hoo Oh, I have to tell you this...... I got my very own piece of mail 3 days ago and then this morning I got another one. I have two really nice, cozy, blankies and a beautiful sweater now! I don't know how these ladies knew my favorite colors! Thank you to everyone for thinking about me and caring enough to make sure I had my surgery. I hope all my pup friends on our LOL page get better really soon, too! Sweet puppy kisses to you all! UYR has received $1790.00 in donations for Shira's surgery

| Hi everyone I've been in touch with Shira's foster mom, and she's been doing much better since the surgery. I saw pictures of her after the surgery with her stitches and e-collar, poor baby! She's such a beautiful little girl, and her foster mom is the sweetest lady! |

| What a great story, and a great ending. SO many thoughtful, GIVING people here, it continues to amaze me. Is someone here, going to get to adopt her?? I hope so.
