| One more questions and a thank you to all! Hi Everyone, Thanks for all your advice on what to get him. Thanks for the advice on the humping and thanks for the advice on the "sour green apple" spray (which doesn't seem to phase him. He still goes near things that are sprayed! Lol.). I have one more question. It is about marking territory. My doggy is housebroken. So he doesn't just randomly pee or poop in the house. He seems to spray a teeny bit when I put him on the leash to go outside. My vet said marking territory and housebroken are two different things. Anyways, he seems to be "marking territory" more than normal. When I went to the vets today, he was peeing in little spirts in certain areas. We asked the vet she said he was doing that because other animals were in there and peed and he wanted to make his territory. I thought that was fine, until we got home. He marked territory on our dressor and wall (and we have no other pets). My questions are (and the more answers and info the better): Is this normal? Is it because he is nervous from the switch? Does it stop? And how can I get him to stop (asap)? Although it isn't a lot, I don't want pee everywhere. Also, one more question. When I walk him (several times a day). He poops fine. But peeing is a different subject. We will walk and he will pee for about 3-4 seconds and then stop. Then he finds another spot and does that again. He does this about 5-6 times. I don't know when he is done. I continue to walk him, seeing if he spirts (as I call it, since it is not a full pee) and he doesn't. But I want to know if this is normal, or will he eventually pee all at once? And could this be from nervous and change (change in house, vets, people, etc).? Thanks. This forum is absoutley great. I don't know where I would go without all y'all help! Muito obrigado (thank you very much in Portuguese!)! Love and hugs, ª Keri • • AND º Buddy (2-years-old) • • :

| Hello, I'm glad your enjoying this forum and getting useful information!.....I didn't see in your post if your Buddy is neutered or not. If not it would help out with the marking. I have three boys and this helped tremendously! As for the leaving little bits of pee here and there when your out walking it is perfectly normal. Whenever I let my boys out to go they must do this on about 4 different things in the yard. They will go right behind each other doing it on top of the others mark, I guess you could say they are having a peeing war with each other. If your Buddy continues to do this in the house you could use belly bands on him to discourage him from doing this...... Good luck.....

| Thanks so much for your help. I have done lots of research and since he is 2 years old, they say that getting him fixed may not help his marking territory. He does it outside, which doesn't bother me. He will put his cute little leg up, even when no pee comes out. I don't understand why he does it in the house. I have only had him one day (I adopted him yesterday) and he has marked his territory 2-3 times in the house. But he holds it all night from like 11 pm till 8 am. So it's weird. Also, he pees with his leg up. And when he does, its on a pole, tree, rock, etc. He does such a little at a time. So my two big questions are: 1. How and will he stop marking territory in the house (we don't want him fixed now, in case we want to breed later on)? 2. How do you know when he is finished peeing, if he only does little spirts? I feel like I watch him a few times and when no pee comes out after a couple times, I think he is done. But to me, I think he needs to go more than that. And just from everyone's experience how often do you let your dogs out to walk and do their business? I think Buddy is on a good schedule now, but I am just curious.

| I had one of my boys fixed at 1 1/2 years old....He used to cock that leg up on everything in the house, I didn't think that gun was ever going to run out of ammo......After I had him fixed he didn't do it anymore...... Since you don't want him fixed then I can only suggest belly bands to be worn at all times in the house.....Good luck......
