And out of no where for the past month or so he hasn't used them ONCE he is peeing everywhere, my bed, my son's bed in front of his crate, my house STINKS and I don't know what to do!!! Have had carpets deep cleaned by professionals, the smell got worse, have tried Nature's Miracle, nothing...smells good for a few hours, then comes back. And more importantly, WHY is he doing this???????? |

| Has Maxx been neutered? If not, he is probably marking his territory. |

my only answer is replace the floors for me.. i also have a rug doctor which has saved my carpets for 3 years. so the cost of having dogs goes up when you include dog friendly floors. do not let him have free access unsuupervised. get an xpen and gates to keep him off the carpet.. only let him on the cxarpets when you know he has just peed. males will mark... my first two dogs were completely trained in 1 year.. but i am pputting in tile floors one room at a time. quite an investment,, but worth it for my sanity and a clean smelling home. and my dogs are worth it.. the rug doctor is great.. good luck

| As drastic as this sounds...it's the only thing that worked for my situation. I have an intact male Biewer and recently added a young intact male parti yorkie. Belly bands can certainly help. But having the hard wood floors kept me sane. |

| I have heard of belly bands, but don't quite understand how they work. If someone direct me to a good "brand" or maker and explain the whole thing to me, I'd be forever grateful!!! Also.....what can I do about the smell?? Again, I can't rip carpet up b/c I rent an apartment, ideally that's what I would do...I have a 3 year old and a yorkie!! I HATE carpet!!! Ha Ha But..........any ideas on that topic would be awesome as well, thanks you guys! Gosh, I've missed it here!!! |

| You can get belly bands on ebay or I'm sure you can find someone on here that sells them also. You buy pads to put inside them and then if they go you just toss the pad. I have a small mixed breed dog that even though he was neutered will sometimes try to mark places. The belly band saved my life. I also bought a diaper for my girl puppy but that doesn't work too well because of the poo. Of course the first night I put it on her she pooed all in her diaper and it was coming out everywhere. So the males are a lot easier. About the carpeting, I bought a carpet cleaner and I use the cleaner that is meant for dog accidents, pet oxyclean I think it is. That gets out all the smell. Get a belly band right away. It might take him a few days to get used to it but you are going to love it. |

I am REALLY going nuts and getting VERY VERY VERY MAD......hubby wants me to get rid of him ASAP ....Maxx JUST ran up on our bed, peed and ran into his crate...I JUST got back from the laundry mat from washing the bedding from when he did the same thing yesterday!!! DH forgot to shut the bedroom door, again, he says he shouldn't have to shut doors in his own house. Soooooooooooooo don't know what is going on! What would cause a dog to do this?????????? |

| If it's getting to the point where hubby wants to get rid of him, then you should contact a trainer ASAP.

| I am going through the same thing I it is any consolation I have a 9 and 1/2 mo. old neutered male and he is the same way I am at my witts end. Plus I have an old 17 yr old beagle who has accidents. I can understand the accidents and feel sorry for her but the baby is in deep doo doo.... pun intended. I have about had it. I take him for a walk and bring him in and he does the same thing. He has an Xpen that he has deceided not to pee in only on occasion. I have tried litter training and everything. I guess the belly bands are going to have to be a common place thing for us. I have some and they work great. I also use a sanitary pad inside. THe weird thing is he will actually 'stand for me to put the D&@# thing on. GO figure. Good luck. I am moving my daughter and soon I will be cleaning my rugs again. if this doesn't help I will be Ripping them OUT... I don't want a smelly house. I have semi- decent hardwood floors under these rugs and I would live with them rather than the smell of dog pee. good luck hon. Cher

when you are better prepared with housing.. keep him in his crate... he is obviously scared and confused...so sorry for your troubles..he needs to be contained if he is peeing in .. he obviously needs to be taken outside more frequently.. he doesnt know where to go... and an angry husband.. i hope you can find him a new home and find a place with tile floors in the future.. keeping doors shut is very important.. i think your dear hubby should come first...

to keep my 5 dogs trained..and a house with a yard.. but apartment people could probably use belly bands...clicker training with treats also works along with consistency... getting ready to rip out more carpet today my sadie peed on my daughters bed a few times. i think she was angry and did it on purpose.. that door is always closed
