| A Dorkie? Ok, as some of you know I have been trying to talk my boyfriend into a 3rd dog for a while now. His answer right along has been NO! However...yesterday he was a "Dorkie" (a yorkie/dachsund mix) and fell in love & really wants to get one! What do you guys think??

| I can't handle two dogs, but if you can, I say THE MORE THE MERRIER! Where did he see the Dorkie? I think all Yorkie mixes are cute -- esp. Biddy.

| Cute as buttons they are. Before you decide to get a Dorkie (I hate that name) be sure to research the Daschund breed and make sure that the characteristics of that breed is something you are prepared to live with. Just because there is some yorkie in there doesn't mean you are going to get a yorkie temperment or characteristics. Be prepared to inherit all the medical conditions that the dashund and yorkie breeds may have. After you've satisfied yourself on all those issues strongly consider where the puppy is coming from and its current environment. If all is well then go for it. I can't wait to see what they look like as adults cause they sure as cute as puppies. |
