| yoyo got spayed but I need help Yo-yo got spayed this morning and I picked her up at around 5:30pm. I put her into the kennel most of the day and took her out to pee. She seemed fine, but about 20min ago I noticed that she was smelling really bad in her kennel. I opened it up and she had diarrhea all over herself. I'm not suppose to give her a bath for a week. The vet said that she will have yellow stuff all over from the surgery. I wiped her butt and its all yellow and I'm not too sure if its from the surgery like the vet mentioned or diarrhea. It smells sooo bad but doesn't smell like poop. I tried to wipe her up with baby wipes. What can I do to clean her without getting her incision wet?? She smells soo horrible. |

| Tough one I recommend trying to clean her off with a warm washcloth with some shampoo or anti-bacterial soap on it. I'd just keep wiping gently until you see no more or smell no more poo . Bless your and her heart

| My sweetie had some soft poo stuck to her one time. I wet it down with warm water and wiped as much off as I could, then I took a comb through it. It pulled more out. Then I wiped it again.

| try to clean her a little bit but be VERY VERY gentle. i know it really sucks, but i think it's better to be smelly than risking doing some possible damage to the surgery site. (although if it's poop, it might also be bad because possible infection and all if it gets to the surgery site) Call your vet as soon as they are open and ask them about it. Good luck to your baby, i hope she is feeling ok. |

| Hope she feels better soon... I use baby wipes or adult bath wipes warmed in the microwave so as not to chill her!! She probably vomited from the anes. she was given. If she has a stool it'll probably be lighter in color since she fasted before her surgery... Hope this helps...Best Wishes and Hugs to you both, Baron's Mom
