| UTI can you test it yourself? I saw a UTI test strip at Walgreens I wonder if I can use it on my dog? She has been peeing a lot lately in places she shouldn't like my couch and bed! Does anybody know if I would be able to use this and if it'll give me accurate results? I'd rather pay teh $10 than a vet visit if It works.

| Uti I have no clue..but if you find out she does have a UTI, you will need to take her to the vet for meds..and the vet will not accept your diagnosis..they will do a test of their own..so you are no further ahead. Might as well make an appointment..UTI's are very uncomfortable for a little Yorkie. |

| Interesting idea though, not that ypu would want to medicate them yourself unless they are prone to UTIs and you can just order the meds from a discount petmed provider. |

| Are you able to catch a sufficient amount of urine yourself in a sterile container, refrigerate it, and get it to the vet asap? I used to do this for Muffin so that she wouldn't have to stay at the vet's office. They would then test it and give me a prescription if one was needed. Of course, my vet would do this because she knew me. I don't know if others would accept it or not. Hope this helps some.
