| is this a habit ??? hi everyone, we have a ten month old spayed yorkie, every night we have to get up to let her out for a pee. during the day she waits till we get home from work with no probs (7 hours ) she is fully house trained. My question is , is it just become a habit ?? we live in a hot country so restricting her water would nt be an option, the only thing i do is replace her water with fresh just before bedtime, i could do this at tea time instead as she loves the cool water from the fridge. does anyone else have to get up every night ? dont really fancy it for the next few years !! |

| Well, I have a yorkie that gets me up to go pee about 3 times a night. That's right, he thinks I have to go. He will stay with me until I do and won't go back to bed until the deed is done. I was taking some meds that had me getting up at night, so he is still on my time table. Silly dog. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I know what you are talking about. Nolee has been trained for a year now. He has just recently started sleeping in bed with us. The last couple of weeks, he started going potty at nite! I have to go let him out during the nite usually between 2-5. He never use to do that! My husband says he has me trained! Well, if he is barking at the door he needs to go! He will go potty and come right back in and back to sleep!! I was wondering the same thing, if this is a habit starting??? Hope not, but what to do??

| I have a couple of pee pads down in my bedroom. If mine need to go they use those, which is rarely. Must be difficult if yours is trained just to go outside though. I guess now it would be habit love. Hugs Shirl x x
