Confused Stinky Ruby Help!!!

Ok! with all honesty I am very dedicated to Ruby. I never skip her weekly bath y groom her every day. When I bathe her she gets and anti tick shampoo, a allegroom shampoo and finish with a conditioning. However somehow before her next bath she gets really smelly by day 4 of 7. Can any os you out there tell me why? Also inbetween the week she i spray a coat conditioner thats smells like apples. Obvoiusly not very long. I just don't understand what it is I am doing wrong. Do your babies get stinky quick. Any and all input will be sure appreciated.

I'm not sure. Is it a pee or poop smell or a wet dirty dog smell?

I have two yorkie babies...one with a cotteny coat and one with a silky coat. I notice that my girl that has the silky coat has to be bathed more often than my male with the cottoney coat...not sure why but his coat stays smelling nicer for much longer...maybe has something to do witht he texture of the hair.???

Corky had never been stinky before but then the last three or so weeks he got really stinky. So stinky it was hard for me to be closed in an elevator with him. He gets bathed regularly too. On Yorkie talk someone suggested that he may have developed a yeast infection. It is true that his skin under his coat felt oilier than usual. I gave him a good bath with medicated shampoo and then sniffed. HE STUNK. Straight after a bath with shampoo etc.

So I went back to advice I had previously heard and mixed a small amount of pure tea tree oil in with his shampoo (prior to his bath). I shampooed him with the mix, left the suds on for 15 minutes and rinsed. And....Voila, bad stink was gone. It works like a charm. His itching is also almost completely gone as well and we have only had two baths in 5 days. Good luck whatever you try. Your Yorkie should not smell.

I picked up a few bottles when i went to OZ last year because it is a lot cheaper than in USA, but I have seen it at Jimbo's (an organice health food type supermarket) and Whole Foods. I am sure that you can find it numerous places online as well. Good luck. Corky started to be a little smelly again and we redid the cortizone cream this time mixed only two drops of tea tree oil and it worked wonders. This was just for his chest and abdomen area not on his privates, though. Even Corky seemed to feel better and got extremely frisky during his walk and has been in a great mood ever since. Don't be shocked by the price for a small bottle. A little bit goes a long, long way. When you mix the shampoo mixture, you only need 3-4 drops. Good luck!
