| Does anyone know... Does anyone know why dogs kick up the grass after they poop? At first I thought it was just Rocky, but my mom told me a lot of dogs do that. I think it's cute, but was wondering if anyone knows why?

| I was thinking that, but then wouldn't they just try to bury it? Also, Rocky will walk away from it before doing it, and I know yorkies are really smart, so I was thinking if they were trying to cover it, they'd be more successful..I could be wrong though.

| LOL no but I can't wait for an answer! Just yesterday Bud pooped and I bent down to pick it up and he did his thing and dirt went down the top of my blouce into my bra! I yelled at him and got caught by a passer by! I was embarassed to be caught yelling at Bud for kicking dirt down my blouce Sometimes he get's so "into it" it's hysterical. Much like a bull ready to charge. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey does the same thing in the house; I don't know if it relates to wanting to cover up the poop, or more of the attitude, look at me, I'm terrific.

Same here - I thought it was another way to mark territory. Rory doesn't do it, but my bullmastiff (male) always did.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Isn't the funniest? Pongo and Aiden do it also. I've seen big dogs do ittoo. I think it's away to burry it,or get the scent away...who knows. Our nephew saw Aiden do it,and ran away he thought he had it on his back paws. LOL

I Love My Babies Donating Member | I was told that it is a way of saying "I was here." They spread their scent around so others will know all about them.
