| I had to break up with my vet clinic:( I had to call and complain about the front office service of my vet clinic today. Roxy, my yorkie, has been going there since she was born almost 3 years ago. One of the doctors there even cut her tail when she was 3 days old. But I have had several problems with the front office service. Once I picked up Roxy, she had surgery to get fixed, and she was full of fleas. She didn't have any when I dropped her off the day before. I called up there and was really nice about it and just said that they have fleas and that I wasn't upset, just wanted to let them know. Then someone from the office called me back to let me know that they have stainless steel cages there and that I have not bought flea prevention from them in a while. I could have gotten flea prevention from some where else for all they knew. And I was using the some where that they stop selling because it was not working any more????? I really like the two vets there but I don't want to have to face the girls at the front desk. I am very upset So now I am looking around for a new clinic. My bosses dad is a vet but his office is out of the way.

| I'm sorry that they are like that. Good front desk staff is important (and I wouldn't like the whole flea medicine thing) but if you really like the vets, I'd try to just ignore the front desk. Can you complain to one of the vets? There is at least one tech in Ellie's vet clinic that I would rather had nothing to do with Ellie and the front desk staff isn't great but her vet is the best. She is awesome and I won't give her up for a couple other people who aren't really too important to Ellie's care. So, just another way of looking at it.

| Well, when I called to complain the girl that was rude to me answered, and when I asked to talk to the office manager she wanted to know my name. I had just gotten off the phone with her (the last straw incident) so I know that she would know who called to complain. This person is also from the same small town that I am from and her mom actually taught me in grade school. Although this person is a few years younger than me we know each others name and face. I don't have to take Roxy back until next year (hopefully) so maybe by then that person will have moved on. I really, really, really, like both vets there and the girls that assist them. And I told the office manager that today also.

| I have gotten to the point where there is only one person I will deal with at my vets office, and that's the office manager. I had a similar incident when I picked up Baxter one time. I held him up and looked at him and he was covered in fleas. Fleas that he did not have when he got there. Most offices hire young inexperienced girls... kids... that have no public relation skills whatsoever. Usually the office manager is the one that will have to train them and teach them how their clients are expected to be treated. Like Nancy1999 said I would definitely speak with the office manager about it, and write a letter to the vet before I changed. You could end up facing the same problem again with the front office help, and not being as satisfied with your new vet as you were the original one.

| Yeah, I have calmed down a bit now. I am not to complain back to the individual that upset me. But the office manager did want to know everything and she apologized. So, will see........Thanks for the support! I'm new to chatting. I'm very shy. But not my Roxy!
