| love for yorkies Right now my boyfriend and I have 2 wonderful male yorkies. 1Y/O peanut 3lbs and 3mo old pigpen 2lbs. We just recently got pigpen a month 1/2 ago and seeing these two play with eachother is just what we wanted for our peanut, but now I want a girl! I am thinking I am going to con my boyfriend into getting a little girl for our family two yorkies are great but three would be perfect!!! especially a little girl ahh how sweet. What do you guys think of adding a girl to our family? Are girls different? These 2 rascalls play really hard with eachother, sometimes you can hear them pouncing eachother against the walls!! So I am not sure how she would fit in with the 2 boys. Let me know what you guys think.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | My girls rule! The alpha next to me is just over 5 lbs and she is a terror. Our Teddy at 16 lbs + knows not to mess with her! Your only problem is will the boys be able to handle a girl! I have 6 females and 3 males and the girls rule all the way.... I think the boys are more loving but the girls are more independent and tough. You will love having a girl!!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I agree we have 2 boys, 1 girl, the boys are way more affectionate "cuddle bugs", my girl is more independent and "princess" like. She takes what she wants, and the boys are scared of her |

| ya I dont know how the boys will react to a girl!!! peanut is such a love bug and he loves to snuggle and so does pigpen. but im not sure about pigpen he is only 3 months so i dont know if thats his loving puppy stage. i hear that the girls are more independent. peanut loves everything and everyone!!! and pigpen isnt as outgoing as peanut is i have notcied to some people pigpen doesnt really like them. but peanut will go up to anyone and be best friends with. right now pigpen is 3 mo and he is the king of the pact. he lets peanut know what he can and cant do. he is the domanant one. peanut is realy easy going and laid back he doesnt care too much. which is good because i dont want them to fight and not get a long!! its funny how they are so different!! cracks me up

| That's exactly what I did to complete my family. We have a 9mo male 8 lbs; 8 mo male 7 lbs, and last week rescued a 7mo 3.5 lb female. She is the sweetest, calmest, living little thing....when the boys aren't around. When I first brought her in I let picked up the two boys and let "Bella" walk in on her own. Held the boys and loved them while she snooped out the whole house. After she was finished I let them down one at a time to check her out. I really watched the boys closely for the first couple of days to make sure they didn't slide into her and knock her down. She just kind of observed them during those first days. Now she wants to be with them every minute. All three go outside together, sleep together, and play together. It's almost as if the boys know she's smaller than them. They don't play rough with her like they do each other. It's really working out well. I say go for it. You won't be happy until you do.

| I usually keep my mouth shut when I see comments I don't care for, but that was not called for. I too would never consider bringing another pet into my home without discussing it with my spouse. You must not have a spouse.

| Don't let these sweet little girls fool you. They can keep up with the boys, and be a handful as well! Good luck in finding that perfect little girl for your family.

This is so great to hear! We now have two males (9lbs and 12 lbs) and are planning on getting a little girl in the near future. I've been a little worried about how the boys will act with a 'delicate' little girl. They really rough-house with each other. But your experience gives me hope!

| Each Yorkie has it's own personality, so be sure to get as much information from the breeder as you can to make the best choice for your family. Annie was very much a Princess and cuddle bunny. She wasn't at all interested in playing and rough housing with Boo. When we went to pick out our puppy, there was one what was going to be just like Annie and one that was more outgoing and interactive. I would have been happy with the quiet one, but the best fit for our family was the more outgoing girl. She would fit in better playing with Boo, going out for walks and other activities. We decided on her, our Gracie Ruth, and she is perfect for us. She's still young and more into the play then cuddling, but she is learning that cuddle time is fun too and getting better at it. Take your time when you go see the puppies, ask a lot of questions, spend time with each of them individually if possible and watch how they interact with each other. Of course all that gets thrown out the window if one of them picks you.
