| I'm So Sad </3 (Long Rambling) My husband received military orders to be stationed back home in Hawaii. This is the first time we've brought a dog from the Mainland to the islands, so we weren't aware of the regulations Hawaii has on out-of-state pets. Supposedly, we were supposed to meet specific standards pertaining to additional rabies requirements (blood test meeting a minimal of 120 days) Long story short, we were not able to do this prior to our move - because not only were we not aware, but if you are familiar with the military - they give you a specified timeframe in which to move to your next duty station. The 120 days blood test would not be realistic to meet. I'm so sad that my Bronzee Bear is now confined in the Hawaii Dept of Agriculture (for quarantine). I won't be able to have him for 4 months They do give us visitation privileges at the site, but it still isn't the same as having him home. And everytime we part (), it's heartbreak all over again

| My sister has gone through this with 2 dogs and yes the blood test takes 120 days. That is a sucky time for him to be in quarantine. Can't someone foster him here on the mainland for while waiting for the results That's what my sister did, she had my Mom watch her girls while waiting... |
