| She just swallowed my diamond stud earring!!! Sasha and I were playing and she reached up and snatched my diamond earring right out of my ear. I quickly reached to try and get it out of her mouth but I think she swallowed it! Whenever I try and get something out of her mouth that she shouldn't have she quickly tries to swallowe so I can't get it. She kept right on playing as if nothing was wrong but a few minutes later she started making this hocking gagging noise. I thouht she was going to throw up but she didn't. She went right back to playing. What should I do?? Will she eventually pass it? Do I need to give her some bread or something? I made sure she drank water. |

| My first thought was that your going to have to play in poop, but let the Vet. do an X-ray to determine if it will be safe to let it come out naturally. Keep us updated on this.

| I have since called the emergency vet and she said that she should eventually pass it and to watch her stool. She suggested giving her some food to help her go which I have done. She's playing and acting her usual self right now though. The vet said worse case scenario they would scope? it out but they wouldn't do that until tomorrow so it would be no need to bring her in tonight. I'm going to be on poop patrol all night! Thanks for the advice everyone!!! |

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | So scary.....I'm really glad you did call the Vet. Hope she will be fine. I had to chase Bella one night when she grabbed my pearl earring from the bedside table. Keep us posted! You may need caffeine!

| Well she did suggest bread. She loves cheese so I asked if I could give her that and she said yes even better. I did tell her she's about 5 1/2 lbs and 6 months but she still didn't seem to be concerned. She's finally laid down and now she's sleeping. Normally I'd be thrilled that she settled down for the night but now I'm nervous. I keep watching her to make sure she's breathing! |

It's weird, the ads at the top and bottom of my page are for cubic zirconia earrings.

| I thought she was going to throw up when she started heaving shortly after she swallowed it but she just stopped. She normally goes twice a day so I'm really hoping she passes it in the morning. Although the vet said to watch her stool for the next couple of days so I guess it's possible that it could take that long. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | One member in another thread suggested putting poop in a small plastic baggie and doing the squish test. Good luck, your earring will have special meaning for you now!
