A little help please. Hi. I was asking about fleas last week and was again wondering if anyone knows of what to use on the carpet and couches and everything. Tila doesn't have fleas, and none of my other babies do, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also someone had mentioned boric acid? What is it and where do I find it, also Dawn soap for a bath, but what kind? I remember reading before to use the original one, but I can't find that anywhere. All I ever see anywhere is the scented apple one and such. Thanks!!!

i would not use boric acid on anything that your pups can get at. We are currently using it to kill carpenter ants and it is toxic to small animals.

NOT Boric Acid Use Borax...you get it in the laundry soap isle at Wal-Mart! Google it.....Borax and fleas! I use it once a month on the carpets. Sprinkle it on - even under the couch and leave it for a couple of hours and then vacuum. I even sprinkle it on the hardwood floors and make sure it gets into the cracks. (that is where fleas hide when you don't have carpet) We have no fleas in the house. And we have serious pets around here.....5 Yorkies...2 Chi...1 boxer...1 cat... they even say that you can use on your yard!!!

Okay, awesome thanks everyone. I'll check at walmart or at the pet store when I go. I'm actually going to walmart next week and then the city as well! I gotta pick up some supplies for the upcoming baby shower. And I thought I would ask before I bought anything, because bioric acid didn't sound right to me. So I'm very, ummm. ocd. lol. I have to check and double check and triple check everything before I act on anything. Thanks again.

I would go to the pet store and get some foggers. Leave the house for a few hours and than you will no for sure they are all dead. You can use any dawn or joy dish detergent to kill fleas you can also wash your pets in it but it is very drying to their skin
