| Luna's 1st day at Puppy Class!! :D Oh I think I had much more fun than LUNA! hahaha!! I just have to rave about today's class. It was Luna and 3 other dogs. We were taught how to teach our dogs the basic commands of come, sit, down, and wait (like at the door). Luna did a great job! It truly amazes me how fast these dogs can learn. Her peers also did wonderful and were so quick to learn, except the labadoodle (sp?)... he wasn't learning as fast as the other small dogs. In fact he seemed a bit out of place, I was confused as to why he was there to begin with considering that it was going to be a small dog class. Either way, he wasn't too much of a bother, minus the fact that he looked huge next to the others. lol So anyhow, I'm so proud of my little looney luna... she did so good! The trainer is awesome, and I mean AWESOME!! You can tell she loves her job and is willing to work with you to make training a fun experience. She even gave us her direct number where we can call her at any time! That's just great!! Well enough with my excited-ness! I jsut had to rave... I'm so so happy with the trainer, I think I will definately getting my money's worth on this one! Sorry, I'm just being a proud mama today, I had to share my experiences with you all.

| cool! how much do you pay for puppy classes, if you don't mind me asking? I read about labradoodles! How cool is that?! Labradors + poodles = labradoodles! They're huge, aren't they? I have yet to see one in real life though...labradoodles are like the loch ness monster. I only hear about them in tales. |

| At Petsmart it's $99 for a six(?) week course, or it may have been eight weeks. Can't remember. Expensive, but probably worth it. |

| The local park and recreation assoc. runs the obedience classes in my town, and my co-worker at the vet (Yes, I got a vet job) is the trainer!!! She's got 13 dogs of her own and has been training almost ten years. She also does agility! I'm so happy I found her! It's $60 for the course. I think I am going to go ahead and get Luca Dean enrolled. I can't wait. It starts in 4 weeks. Congrats to Luna and Mommy!!! Mommy, you deserve credit, because well trained dogs have good, nurturing owners!! I am so glad for you!! |

| Congrats, Melissa!!! The intelligence of these babies will amaze you! Little Luna has lots of surprises in store for you! Lucynfred ... Congratulations on your vet job!! I know you will love it! My daughter's friend, after graduating Auburn got a job at the Pensacola Zoo and is just in her "element"! We met an interesting Forestry "Person" down near Denver last week-end who had the cutest little Silky/Yorkie mix! It seems her daughter works for a vet and they had a patient give birth to two babies and the owner didn't want them ... told them to just go ahead and "let them go"!! The girl was heartbroken so she put them in her pocket and brought them home! [Good girl!] They got the owner to sign them over and this precious little silky was the remaining baby [the little boy didn't make it]! She was just so adorable ... how could anyone be so cruel ... if the owner didn't want puppies, why wasn't she a more responsible owner?? Go figure!!

| I am thrilled that the class was a huge success and you had such a ball with it. These pups are smart and always wanting to learn - think of all the weeks to come and how much more will take place, sure it will be a blast.

| Oh my, thank you all for your very kind comments! *hugs* To answer the question about pricing, I paid $120 for a six week class. I know some may think that, that is way too epxensive but seeing teh trainer with other dogs and seeing that she is truly dedicated to work one on one with you and your dog made it well worth it. Again, I loved the fact that it was only 4 dogs in total, unlike at petsmart where there were like 8-10 dogs, at least the one here in miami. I'm not sure how they may work in other states. I'm in a bit of a hurry, Mom's waiting for me to go to publix with her, so I'll post more later!!
