| Tilas Hair Okay, so I know their hair changes. But Tila still really looks about the same as when I first brought her home. Its like waiting and waiting for a present to open all the way. Her hair has changed to a little grey on her head, but thats it. Not sure if you can tell from her picture, but here she is. Do you think her hair will start changing more? |

| She is sooooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!! How old is she? Sometimes the hair color takes over a year to change. From the picture it looks like she will be a nice blue and tan. EVENTUALLY!! Thats what is so special abut Yorkies!! You never know what to expect or when to expect it!!(color, that is)

| Thanks! She's 6 months old. Her mom (not sure of the proper names, colors) is silver, well the goldish around the face, but she was silver. Her dad was darker, he has the goldish points but his body is darker, I wouldn't say black, but dark. lol. Not sure if that helps. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | I'm one that believes in the eye shine. A green eye shine (from picture flash) signifies a silk or blue coat. A red shine signifies a cotton or wooly coat. I believe that by the picture you posted, your yorkie will stay on the darker side.

| I'm no expert, this is from my own experience with my first and only yorkie: At around 7 months we took Elvis in for a second grooming, the frist grooming just being one for him to get used to being handled. The second one was for a puppy cut. I had noticed prior to this grooming session, that his hair on his back looked to be grayish next to the black "puppy fur" and about 1/2 inch or a little less. Well, when we picked him up later that day I was sooo surprised when the groomer brought out this little gray dog that I didn't readily recognize...it was my Elvis!! All his black puppy fur was cut off and the hair beneath was a dark gray. Now his tail is still blackish and the rest of him is still the golden, but his body is now a dark gray...depending on the lighting, it can look light too.

| I've have different pictures of Tila, where her eyes are shining greenish. Maybe I should check back on her pictures to see the shine. Interesting. Tila is also due for a grooming as well. One more cut and then I think I'll let it grow long. So maybe once she's cut I'll see more of a different hair color hue. Last groomer did a choppy job on her, so she's going to a different one this time. I can't wait, I love yorkies, I love Tila. lol. All my friends and family are wanting a yorkie now after meeting mine. |
