| puppies living in not so great conditions. hi everyone, i am pretty new here and had posted that i was in search of a yorkie. i just happened to go get a bulletin board and in the pets section was some yorkie pups listed for way cheap!!! so i called, got directions and went to check out the so called full blooded pups. when i finally got unlost lol and made it to their house. they had the pups caged up on the porch while about 15 other dogs ran around the yard. they let the pups out of the cage so i could look at them and low and behold they are full blooded. they have mom and sis from another litter. so i played with them for a while and looked at them closely. they don't feel like they are under weight as i can't feel ribs and they aren't dehydrated. but they were all sticky and stinky. there was one lil guy that's face and head didn't look right to me, but i am by no means an expert. i felt so bad for these pups. when they were running and playing the women were yelling for them and the pups didn't acknowledge they were being talked to so i was afraid the poor guys were deaf. but come to find out they just didn't want to listen to these people. of course i wouldn't listen either, the older guy beat a dog with a metal pole while we were there just cause it wanted some lovin. well i felt so bad for these poor dogs that i bought one. i would have bought all of them but i didn't have $1400 dollars at the moment. these dogs aren't registered, have no shot records, no health guarantee, and the one i took has an over bite or under bite not sure what it's referred to as. i am taking this little guy to the vet first thing tuesday morning. also he won't drink out of a bowl. i have to dip my finger in the water and he licks it off. i also stopped at the store and bought some karo syrup since pet stores were closed by the time i got him. i had read that i can use it if he won't eat so his blood sugar stays up. also these people say the pups are 10 weeks but gave no real answer on a birthday. i know i might have wasted my money on a dog tat has health issues and god forbid may not live long but i had to get him out of the environment he was in, just wish i could have brought all of them home! is there anything i can do for these poor animals legally? they are beat and yelled at and not well taken care of? thanks for any advice for me and my new little guy also. i haven't weighed him yet but am going to do that and take a few pics of him after his nap. we got home and he ate and played for a few minutes and is now napping on my lap. i just hope he is ok or that he can be helped if something is wrong as i love him so already!!!!! |

| I have been in a similar situation like that before. When I went to look at one of my dogs, it was dirty, had pooh stuck to it, has a overbite, and was underfeed to make it appear to be smaller that what it should have been. I could not leave that dog there either and I paid my money and left. My vet checked him out head to toe and said he looked good in spite of his horrible living conditions. I have no idea where you can report it to or what can be done about it. I am at least thankful that she is selling all of her breeders and not breeding any longer due to her age. |

One girl did it good for she took her son and took picture of the different dogs and the house and they just thought she was taking picture of her son..so she had the proof.. I think some one will come and see this and be able to send you in the right direction... cannot wait to see pics.. it must have been hard leaving the others behind.. anne |

| Call the animal control office in your city or county and they will go out there and check out the conditions and hopefully take all their dogs away!! They don't deserve to own any living thing!! I am not going to comment on you buying a pup because I think you already know that it could be a very expensive mistake that you have made. Good Luck!

| I'd call Animal Control... I'm so glad you saved one of the poor puppies. Call Animal Control or the Police to help out. I'm sure 20 some dogs is illegal no matter where you live. I wish you the best with your new little guy. Can't wait to see pics of him. Let us know what the Vet. says... Blessings... Baron and his Mom

| Well...I must say that I stand "IN AWE" of you..such a kind and loving person that you would buy this baby , with hopes that if he has something wrong..it can be fixed. You are a blessed soul! I know that it is suggested (and smart) to buy our babys from reputable breeders, and to make sure that they are healthy. This is certainly the wise way. However...that still leaves the little ones, like yours, who were not fortunate enough to be born into a good environment. They have little flaws and worse, yet , God sends one of His chosen people to go to the puppy and bring it home, willing to do whatever, to be sure that the puppy has a good life. I will say it again..You Are A Blessed Soul! Perhaps there are others here on YT , who would be interested in the other babies that are in need. I didn't notice where you are from, ( I will take a look) and hopefully the others will also. I so often have tears in my eyes as I read the posts on this wonderful site. The people here "REALLY" reach out, they go into action to help and save. I have never before seen such bonded committment. God Bless you and your new Yorkie Patti |

| i didn't say anything to the man because i was so shocked by what he had done. the bad part was, my brother had gone with me to read the directions to me, well my brother was petting the dog when the man hit it!!!!!! can you imagine. my brother fell on his butt cause it took him so of guard. i just stood there a minute and it finally sank in, i looked at my brother and son and said we had better get home!!! i couldn't believe what i had seen! |

| Sadly theres a lot of pepole like this out there. Its just so sad. I hate seeing people yelling at their pets but hitting one, I think id went off on him. They dont need dogs. most places you can only have so many dogs perhouse hold. I bet if you turned them in they would take most of them. |

| Oh my goodness...what a story, I am so sorry you had to witness such a horrible scene. Your little "Lucky" guy seems sweet enough, hopefully he'll get a clean bill of health. I agree with the others, file a complaint. How many grown dogs did you see? I'm sure there are laws against owning too many. My hopes are someone will rescue them...get them fixed...never to be bred again...and that they all find responsible new owners and live happily ever after...spoiled rotten!!!
