| Britney Spears Moment - Drop Caught On Film I dont know if this has been addressed or not so I thought I would share my near tragic experience with Y'all as to bring awareness to how FAST the babies can FLING from your arms. I will admit it - I absolutely almost dropped her flat down onto cold - unforgiving hardwood. We have to be able to ADMIT THIS in order to discuss this. I REALLY want to talk about how these babies FLY FROM YOUR ARMS! No warning - blop - floor which could easily lead to death or at least - a broken bone. So - I would like us to talk about - and share images of - how we hold our babies. This is SO important to me because had I not been holding her 'my way' she would have ate the ground. I included images of how I always hold her. If I need to use my other hand of course I do but otherwise - I hold her like this always. I have her straddled my arm - legs dangling so she cant 'push off'. My hand is on her chest holding her firm under her arms - As seen in the photo. (DICLAIMER: NOT AROUND HER NECK!) This happens to the best of Mama's - I know this because it happened to me! So please - lets help some other babies before they bite the big one! Show images of how you hold your dog which makes you feel secure in the fact it cant spring board from your arms? And if it does! Its only a matter of getting them back 'into position' rather than an actual fall happening. (You can see in my face the moment sucked but I knew she wasnt going to bite it). The way I hold her - no way she can be dropped - as seen here. So - there has to be other AWESOME WAYS! Show us how you hold your baby! Also! Do YOU have any 'Britney Spears Moments' (She almost dropped her baby one time on a city st) of your own you would like to share? Lets keep these babies in our hearts AND arms! | I have come close to dropping Mya also at times, and actually one time my friend was holding her and she sprung out and thank god landed on grass and on her feet. I have made sure to tell people how to hold her. I do the straddling my arm thing too, except I don't need to use the other arm as she isn't too big yet (3.5 months). But I definitely agree, by disabling her legs from springing I have saved her from being dropped a few times. Plus her straddling my arm is actually really cute and people get a kick out of it .

| I too have come close to dropping my baby. I find the best restraint for me and keely is to do the 'football' hold. her body is tucked up under my arm and i have one hand holding her chest, my thump under one of her front legs and my pinkie finger is up under her other leg, and my 3 onther fingers are clenching her chest and my middle finger is sliiped up inunder her harness for extra grip. lol.. i admit that she has jumped from my arms before(i wasnt holding her like i ussually do) and luckily, she landed on her doggy bed( that was placved on the ceramic tiles!) |
