| Strange conection to your yorkie? I dont know if anybody has experianced this before but I found it quites strange, yet amazing! Heres my story!(sorry kinda long) I woke up this morning and got ready to bring Keely to the groomers, It was her first visit and i was really nervous as to how she'd react, when we got there I handed her to the groomer (A VERY nice lady who obviously LOVES animals and what she does) She observed how close me and Keely were, And how much this little bundle of fur was loved and how much she has touched our lives (Im starting to tear up just writing about this experiance) I Didnt stay with her because The groomer told me it would be best if i didnt (she said that its more stressfull on the pets if there owners are there) But i really wanted to stay because i know how she reacts when im not with her. So my mom and I left And went shopping for an hour. Around 12:46 (about the time we were going to leave and go get her) I grabbed mom by the arm And said (Now this is an exact quote) "The groomer is going to cut her nail to short and shes going to bleed to death" (Thats the reason we didnt cut her nails ourselves, and i have been stressing about that all week) Well, I told mom we had to leave right now or i was going to freak. When we arrived At the groomers house, she came out with keely in her arms and you could tell the groomer had been crying, and she was about to cry again. She showed us keelys blood soaked paw and of course i started to panic. I Darn near broke down in tears in this womans house. She said that she was just finishing up her last paw and keely jumped making her cut her nail WAY to short And keely started bleeding a nice bit. It wasnt too Serious but it gave her a fright (Keely didnt even wimper because of it). She told us she wouldnt take our money because of the accident (But we wanted to pay her twice as much because she felt so bad and it wasnty really her fault, and she did stop the bleeding) So we paid her and talked to her for a while, she showed me a toy poodle and that made my day .. I just found it weird that I sensed something was wrong! My mom asked her about what time it happened and it was around the same time I Told mom we had to go get her because something was wrong. How weird is that? Have any of you guys ever sensed soemthing was wrong with your furrbabies? Was this just a Coinsedance(sp?)? BTW- Keely is fine and is runniong around like normal, i think it was worse for us than it was for her! |

| I totally believe in these types of connections. I haven't had one with my Yorkie yet. he is rather young and other than being totally "My Dog" and being really upset when I am gone for very long we haven't had much eventful happen. I take tha back... I broke my foot 3 weeks ago and Cooper still thinks he should sit and lick my foot. I think it because they lick their wounds when they hurt themselves. Not sure. But I have had this happen before with a cat that we used to have and the other dog we have who is a ripe old age of 16 and !/2. Also I watch Animal Planet alot and there are a lot of shows about things like that happening between animals and their human parents. Just last week there was a piece on the news where a dog found a newborn baby in the field that a girl left after giving birth. SHe had pups and took the baby back to her lair ( I think she was a wild dog) Someone heard the baby crying and found it. It was 32 degrees and the pups and mother kept the baby warm so it didn't die. Pretty cool. Most people don't give animals credit for their intelligence. I think they are very in tune to their owners feelings and things THanks for sharing. Hope your buddy is ok now. I absouletly HATE To trim nails...

| About 3 years ago, my boyfriend and i were leaving to go to FL ton see his Dad. We got 45 minutes out of town and I just broke down in tears. I just had a BAD gut feeling about leaving Bouncer even though he was staying with my parents. We turned around, got Bouncer and packed his stuff, and left the next morning with him. He was fine when I got him, but I just had this HORRIBLE feeling for some reason if we had left him.

| I don't know if this would help or not but Cooper was neutered 3 weeks ago. THe Vet told me to put Clove oil or Listerine around the wound area to keep him from licking it. Clove oil is something you can get in the drug store for tooth aches. I am telling you it really helped. Not on the wound just around it. like on his foot. It was funny because he would make the funnyest faces when he would get the taste of that stuff. It is really strong and kind of makes your tongue numb. He would pucker up his face. But he wouldn't chew. I gave him a 1/2 of a benedryl too at night to calm him down so he wouldn't be so anxious. Just some things to try. I broke the benedryl in 1/2 and put it in a piece of cheese.
