| Question Please I posted this on the training board, but never got a reply, I'm hoping someone could give me some insite on this. I decided to use an exercise pen due to being gone for 9 hours during the day. Will this make it harder to potty train since I won't be using a crate? Thanks! |

| i dont think i would be harder using the pen, but i dont know, as i used the crate for alittle while then i gated her up in a long hall way.. i guess it would be the same as a pen... im sure your puppy will be just fine. just put allthe nessessities inside the pen and you should be good to go. i did have my mom come over and check on lexi everyday though. maybe you could have someone hellp you out a bit.. 9 hours in kind of long to be alone..

| I don't think it will delay the training it will just be to a pee pad instead of outside. It's hard with these little guys because they cannot hold it all day like larger breeds can. |

| We are also using an x-pen during the day because my bf and I will both start working soon. Ella is doing pretty well with the pads, although she will also occasionally go on the floor near the pad. We've only had her a week, so I don't think the pen is slowing down her training at all (we've only had one carpet accident a day for the past three days, which I think is pretty good).
