Scam... I have been searching on Craigs List/Domestic Sale for a yorkie to adopt and someone in my area posted about a yorkie for $100, I figured it was too good to be true, but I emailed them anyways and got the "Africa Story" It's so sad people fall for these things! Is there any way to report it? Hello Jacklynn, My Teacup Yorkie Puppies have been all adopted out, hopefully i will be having a new litter by november 2008 ,but i can refer you to one of my very close friend who was working with U.S. House of Representatives 2157 Rayburn House Office Building Washington, D.C. 20515 presently she has just been posted to west africa, she asked me to put three adorable teacup Yorkie puppies for adoption, she is giving them out for adoption because of her busy schedules and her not having enough time to take good care of the babies, the Yorkie puppies are 3 months old and are akc registered, send her an email immediately to her concerning adopting the puppies, tell her the breeder she asked to put the puppies out for adoption refered you to her,all she is only asking is the cost of shipping puppies back that is if only you can promise her the puppies would get all the love and care they deserve,if you know you cannot take care of the babies please ignore this reference Below is her Contact information Sherri Hartley email- sherrihartley202@yahoo.com tel -234-802-684-5118 Address.....55 Queens Road State..........Lagos state Zip code....23401 Cathy Leigh Jalbert The email has been sent from the location: United States (accuracy:99%) Orange Park FL (accuracy:80%) Jacksonville,FL metro area(accuracy:80%) IP address:216.199.21.230

I responded to one of those the other day off of our Pittsburgh craigslist, knowing the answer i was going to get back, Of course, "they were on vacation in Cameroon" and "they didn;t have the time for him they thought they did" I had to send the money for air transportation, besides that he was free.... SO I had to poke fun (I guess I have no life, LOL) and told them that we would rather meet in person and we would just come there to pick him up and take him home on the plane with us rather than he be cargo. We could get the next plane out on the day that was good for them. THEY Agreed!!! Can you imagine if someone actually did this? I am sure we all know that they have NO intention of meeting with a puppy they don't have!! How do these people even get away with this scamming to begin with?

| I have a similar story. I was looking for an affordable place to live for me, my boyfriend, and a friend of his for the upcoming school year. Well, I got the "Africa story" too!! My bf emailed in response to a 2bed 2bad townhome at a price that was to good to be true, and well it was! I think the story went that he was a pastor or priest doing missionary work in Africa, and that was the original home that he and his wife shared. His wife was currently in Canada and we had to e-mail her at a totally different e-mail address. We didn't respond further. I later found an add for a 3 bed 2 bath townhome at a reasonable price, and got the exact same story! Seriously, who do they think they're fooling?

SHE SENT ME THE SAME EMAIL. I SAVED IT. iT WAS ABOUT FOUR MONTHS AGO, WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PURSHASED A PUPPY. SHE WAS SELLING THEM IN KIJIJI, THEN, SHE NO LONGER HAD THE PUPPS. IT SEEMS LEGIT, BUT I BECAME SUSPECIOUS WHEN THE GUY WHO IS BEING SENT TO AFRICA, HAS TAKEN THE DOGS WITH HIM, SO YOU HAVE TO SEND MONEY FOR SHIPPING. I'LL TELL YOU, THE FIRST EMAIL IS THE SAME AS THAT ONE. I THINK THEY JUST COPY AND PASTE, PASTE, PASTE, TO SAVE TIME.

That is so wrong. I belong to another message board not related to dogs and someone got an email forwarded from a friend of a friend etc. and it said that someone had found 6 lab puppies and they needed homes. Everyone on the message board were so excited at the thought of free puppies, there were pics on the post of how adorable they were. Turns out it was a bogus forward going around. People are pathetic sometimes.
