| my yorkie's ear won't stand up I have a nine week old yorkie and one of his ears isn't standing up yet. However the other one is. Is this normal or should I just wait it out to see what happens? |

| Shave the hair off of the puppies ears. You can put masking tape on the ears for like 4 days and let rest a day and retape. It will help. |

Most of my puppies have their ears up by 8 weeks or before, but 9 weeks is plenty young yet .

| Canyon's ears were up when I got him almost 4 weeks ago, then a few days after he came home, his right ear flopped and the left one stayed up. I just massaged the ear that was floppy every day and now it's back up and it's been up for almost a week. He's 16 weeks and he's teething pretty bad, I'm sure it will continue to go up but if you don't have confidence in taping the ear (as I didn't), try massaging the floppy ear or ears. |

| Walker is almost 9 months old and one of his ears just started to flop again. I was told they go through many changes throughout puppy hood. Teething seems to have some impact, so does their hormone level. I did what a few others here suggested: I shaved his ears, put tape around them (there are actually web sites on how to do this) and voila, they both stayed up after only ONE night of tape! I wouldn't be too concerned at this point, but try the taping method.

| One up ,One down Pebbles was 11 wks when I got her. She had one ear up & the other one down. Just make sure the hair on the ear is shaved & within two weeks her other one was up for good.
