| Some people...... Hi everyone...I just need to rant a little bit!! Some of you may know that besides Captain Jack and Junie B, I also have an English Springer Spaniel..Roscoe. I love this dog. He is my 40lb lap dog. Beautiful, smart, very loyal. He goes everywhere with me.Well this morning when I got to my grooming salon, I had a message on my answering machine. It was from one of my customers, one of her co-workers owns my Roscoe's littermate. She told me that the lady has been saying for a week that she just didn't have time for her dog anymore and was going to carry him to the pound. So this lady had been going to the shelter every morning on her way to work to check to see if the dog (his name is Sebastion) was in the drop off box....Well this morning he was there. I do alot of rescue work with our shelter anyway..so I just went straight there. Sure enough there was Sebastion. I was so mad! It's a good thing that I have a good relationship with the shelter manager, because I think that I scared him a little... I was ready to kick some a$$!!! So they release him to me as a foster. I carried him back to work and got him cleaned up and groomed. But I don't get it.... I groom Sebastion about every 8 weeks. I boarded him for 9 days last month. His owner always seemed to love him...how do you just leave him at the animal control drop off box??? So anyway now I have a beautiful english springer spaniel that needs a home. He is smaller than my Roscoe...probably about 30 lbs or so. I have no way of getting his papers, but he is AKC registered. They are out of Millie's line. (George Bush's springer) His adoption fee is only $45 and that covers his nueter and shots. He just turned 1 yr old on July 12th. If anyone is interested pm me and I'll get some pics of him tommorrow.

| I don't understand how people can just give up their pets like they are an old pair of jeans. I don't understand how anyone could not have more emotional attachement and love for an animal that they own. I hope that you find the perfect home for him. I see that you are in Alabama...do you mind if I post about him on my communities message board? Maybe someone here would be interested. |

| I don't get it either. I saw a post recently from someone wanting to place their nine year old "baby" in a good home. Moving - can't take dog. Can't take a dog they have had for NINE years. I am also in Bama and will check the office tomorrow. I think one of our accountants has springers....

| I also don't understand people saying they can't take their animal because they are moving. We moved all the way from Germany to the US with our cat and had her for 17 long years until she died in April this year.

| Thank God you saved him! I don't understand how someone can part with a member of their family like that either. To me, it would be like giving up my child. Bless you for caring so much and taking action right away.
