| Puppy Hi, we got a puppy, Ace, about 5 weeks ago, he is 3 lbs. We allready had a 4 year old, Roxy, she is 6 lbs. Roxy is getting better with Ace, now she will be in the same room with him, but other than that she wants nothing to do with him. He is always jumping on her and barking and she takes it untill all of a sudden she will bark loudly and push him away. Roxy is spoiled and was the star of the house before we got Ace. What can I do to help them get along? Also any help with house breaking Ace, he goes all over! Roxy was potty trained so easily. Please help. |

| Crating might do the trick with both problems. Crate Ace until it is time for him to go. Then take him outside, walk him, etc. Then back in the crate until next time. It sounds cruel, but with more than one dog in a home, it is almost the only way to do it. Meanwhile, since Ace is crated, your older dog can grow gradually accustomed to another dog in the household without feeling threatened and Ace is also safe in his crate. As Paris Hilton says, "Problem solved"! |

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | welcome to YT...it will take some time for the Roxy to give in...she is probably scared herself...as for housebreaking the only thing i can say is be consistent...you have to constantly watch him...if you are training him to go outside use the command go potty...let him know that when you take him out it means business...if he doesn't go within the first 10 minutes take him back in and place him in his crate...and repeat until he does...once he does it praise him a lot...give him treat...soon he will associate going outside with going potty...do this first thing in the morning...right after he eats and plays...and before he goes to bed...good luck!
