| Urgent! Need your feedback ASAP!! Thanks!! Okay, to make my long story short. My hubby and I are leaving to my best friend's wedding later this evening (I am the matron of honor) and we are not agreeing with each other what we should do with Chloe. I asked one of my friend to babysit her tonight and I will pick Chloe back up on Sun night. However, my hubby doesn't like the idea of asking my friend to babysit Chloe. His reasons are...1) If we just drop Chloe off at my friend's house, then Chloe might thinks we are abandoning her. 2) My friend will be at Church on Sun morning, Chloe might be freaking out if she is home alone at a stranger's place. 3) Yorkie is really attached to their owner and hubby is not sure if my friend can give all the attention Chloe's need to her. Chloe is basically my shadow. We normally let Chloe stay at the PetsHotel while we are away. However, since the PetsHotel closes at 6pm on Sunday. We can't pick her up, which means she has to spend an extra night at the hotel. And I don't really like that idea. So, my hubby said we should just take Chloe with us (also, Chloe doesn't do too well on car trip. She always get car sick and the wedding is about 2.5-3 hours one way drive) And on Sunday, we will let Chloe go to DayCamp and pick her up by 6pm. Then my hubby will just hang out with Chloe while I am at the reception (reception starts at 5pm). My hubby said he would be at the ceremony, maybe just not at the reception since we have Chloe with us). Or we might just stay another night at the hotel and return on Monday morning. However, hubby doesn't like the idea of leaving Chloe alone at the hotel!!! What should I do???!!! HELP!!! My hubby and I are arguing over this issue!!! |

| your husband sounds like a woman (no offense ladies). if you have a healthy dog he/she will be fine at your friends house. my yorkie is my fiancees shadow, and we went to peurto rico for 6 days, the yorkie stayed at her friends house who owns a chihuahua and he was fine (my yorkie did piss all over their place because their do is paper trained and ours isnt he is trained to go outside) so that was a mess, but the sitters didnt mind. and our yorkie was oh so pleased to see us again. unless your friend is a psycho or completely incompetent im sure your yorkie will be fine for the short time. |

| If you take her, your vet can give you Cerenia, which settles their stomachs and keeps them from being sick. Does not make them drowsy or sedate them. Also ginger snaps have been used by some for car trips -- but I'd go with the Cerenia and it needs to be given an hour before leaving. I would always choose to take her with me. But that is because I miss my dog, not because she wouldn't be okay with me gone. It sounds like all of your options will work. Just need to decide what in your heart you want to do.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | To me the friend is the clear best option, I'm sure she will give her the attention she needs.

| I love the fact your hubby is concerned. My hubby would be just to leave her at home alone. I think the friend would be the best solution but it would be a decision the 2 of you need to make together.

| She will probably be just fine at your friend's house If you want to take her, make sure that you get a pet friendly hotel so that your baby can stay at the hotel while you guys are at the reception. I would hate for your husband to have to miss the reception. Your baby will be just fine if she's alone for a few hours. We always choose to take our furbabies with us when we can, but if we have to leave them with my mom, it's okay because they love playing with her furbaby, and my mom loves my babies practically as much as we do!

My Little Man! Donating Member | I also agree with others. Your friend's house sounds like the best option.

| I do a lot of dog babysitting. In fact I have a cavalier king charles spaniel right now. If you ever need anyone in the future, I'd be happy to look after her. I text owners updates and pics twice a day, and the owners are welcome to call as often as they like to check in. It's so hard to leave our babies!!! I'm 20 minutes west of Indy. Let me know if something like this comes up again. I'm sure she'll be fine at your friends house.
