| Hello from across the pond!! Hello everyone from the UK! I stumbled across this site when trying to find info on keeping a top knot on a 7 month old deliquent yorkie! I have resigned myself to the fact that he is NOT going to keep one in under any circumstances and is merely trying to reincarnate the beatles look! He mostly resembles a woodstock reject! We have just aquired a friend for him in the hope that love may inspire him to smaten up his image - so far no go - he merely tries to rearrange her hair into a carbon copy of his! I have attached photos of our beloved Dink (7 months) - 3lb 12ozs and Dolly (10 weeks) -1lb 2 ozs. We also have a ten year old Scrubby -1st photo (schizophrenic rescue dog) now 10 years old. |

| Hello & welcome to YT. There are a few of us on here from the UK. If you look at the top of the page & click on "Regional", then scroll down to the bottom of the list of places you will find our "Europe" board. Come over & say hello, you'll be made very welcome. Your three are really cute. I have three too, an old one & two younger ones like you. I also have Skye Terriers. xx Meggie Last edited by Meggie; 08-08-2008 at 01:17 AM. |

| Your babies are adorable!!! Boo doesn't wear a top knot, but that's because his daddy says no. Gracie Ruth is only 6 months old and we are working hard at learning to wear one and leave it alone. It's been a bit of an uphill battle, she is such a little tomboy! I found these little metal clips and the work well but I won't leave them in unsupervised just in case she decides to find out if they taste good. But the little grooming rubber bands work well and I find doing a double knot works really well. The directions in the Grooming section help to explain it better. Good luck and post more pictures of your cuties!! 1) Metal hair clips found in 'human' hair care sections

| Welcome!! You have adorable furbabies. My buddy is not big on a topnot either but I do really like the hairbands from mygofetch.com, they stay in even if he rolls around and tries to get it out and I can live with it being a little messy. Since the hold the hair pretty tight I always cut them out when I take it out so I am not pulling his hair at all.

| thank you Thanx everyone for your replies - for those of you who are not in the UK and those of you that are, I live in Suffolk on the east coast of the UK in a small town called Needham Market near Ipswich. Its very flat - no hills just big sky which is perfect for a lump like me who doesnt walk far . In addition to my three furry children, I also have two cats and a nutty parrot. I am lucky enough to live in the country in a small cottage attached to a very big house, and get to take advantage of the owners swimming pool when they are away. I also look after their animals - two labradors, 3 cats and 2 horses so all in all I am surrounded by the superior animal world which I often find preferable to the human one!! Will keep posting now I have found some yorkie fans! |
