Senior Yorkie Talker | Question about Shelby's coat Shelby is my first Yorkie and I have been having trouble with her coat since Ive had her. Her coat has been defined by her groomer as "baby thin/fine".... she just turned 10 mths old last week.... her coat knots easily and will mat if i do not brush her literally 100 times a day! I have brushed her thoroughly only to find her knotted up a couple hours later after napping or rolling around playing.... Is there anything I can do? Her last visit to the groomer was this past saturday and we decided to go short because of how difficult her coat is.... Suggestion? Feedback? Anything?? lol.... I would greatly appreciate it |

| Kacee has super fine silky hair like that. It did really mat when she was younger. She's just past 3 yrs now and it just gets a little matted now and then, usually where her harness goes. But I keep her hair fairly long. Sometimes it's about an inch from the floor, but this summer I've kept it even with the bottom of her tummy. I love her hair now. It's something everyone comments about how soft and silky it is. It is also kind of funny because people start playing with it 'cause it feels so good! Anyway, you have better things ahead!

Senior Yorkie Talker | yes, Shelby's coat is very soft.... I havent seen other Yorkies with her kind of coat which why I have been stressing over it, lol.... I also had the groomer cut Shelby short this summer, her hair is even with her tummy also! It is much easier to control this way.... I thought maybe she was the only one, haha thank you so much |
