| What is your Yorkie afraid of? As silly as this sounds, my 3-yo Daisy is afraid of flies! But only in the house. I've found her trembling in fear and hiding in the corner. It's worse if she's sees me shoo one away and heaven forbid I attempt to swat one. The other night, a mosquito followed us in the house and came buzzing around my head and I swatted at it. She immediately started trembling and took quite a while to recover. She's never been stung by a bee or even a mosquito that I know of. I have yet to figure out how to keep flies out of the house. One got in this afternoon and she's still a little guarded. My 6-yo Sampson on the other hand has only one fear. Smoke. As in, I no longer use the broiler. Other than that he's fearless and lives up to his name. He loves to patrol the yard at night for "intruders." Outdoors on hikes he has more of a leap first attitude. So what silly things is your Yorkie afraid of?

| Mine is afraid of the most random things. Today Bailey barked profusely at a harmless sack of potatoes, yet she doesn't fear the vacuum cleaner. She is a little afraid of bigger dogs esp. when they bark. So far that's pretty much it that I have noticed.

| Pebbles is not afraid of anything. I'm pretty sure a 500 lb gorilla is hiding inside of my teapot! Doodlebug is still a baby and really hasn't developed anything that he is afraid of yet. It probably doesn't hurt his big sister is pretty fearless.

| When we are in the car, Annie is afraid of the big semi trucks if they pass us in traffic. Not afraid of bugs...they should be afraid of her !! When we find a roach she loves to help me "flush" him away...she barks as he disappears down the drain. |

| Marla, good thread to start!! Winston is not really afraid of anything I know of except for the times that I start getting makeup etc ..getting ready to go somewhere. He will shake then , but that is the only time I notice it. Oh I guess I need to add the car too, but I am confused about that one. He always wants to go, but crys and shakes a little while we are driving.

| Bernie is fearless. But on the other hand, Baxter is scared of....his reflection in the sliding door glass, I'm sure he thinks someone is outside; lightening; thunder; the alarm system beeping; the garage door closing; the dishwasher; the washing machine; the car, deathly afraid to ride in the car; the vaccuum cleanier; the blow dryer; the Wahl; having his nails clipped; his bath....should I stop? It would be easier to tell you what he's not afraid of! He's coming around though. Some of those things he's not soooo afraid of now.

| Onni is also afraid of the big trucks when she is in the car. She is afraid of herself in the mirror also.

| This is a great thread... Cooper is afraid of the commercial on TV for Suave shampoo when the lady sings in an Opera type voice. The words are written in pink and says something like : Is Motherhood wrecking your Hair?" He will come from the other room just running and bark at the TV. it is just too funny. He also barks at his reflection in the black refridgerator at my dads house. He doesn't do it at home just at my dads. Quite funny. Love to read all their quirks. they really are so much company.

| Bobby is afraid of the alarm clock. I switched off the buzzer and tried the radio but he still freaks out. He is also afraid when my hubby or stepson is leaving with a backpack, not sure why only when they have a bag, but he will jump on the edge of the couch and try to protect me. It doesn't seem to bother him when i have a bag, he actually gets excited because he thinks he is going for a ride. Those are the only two things that are constant, sometimes on our walks he gets a little skiddish when he hears unfamiliar noises. |

| Both are scared of the vaccume. Duke wont go anywhere near it even if it's turned off haha. Duke also barks at just about any sound. The cat can jump onto the floor and if he hears it he starts yapping away. Lucie's ready to pounce on anything that moves I swear she is part cat Though she was barking insanely at my hair clip the other night haha
