| Does your Yorkie rub their head?? Hi. Wondering if anyone else's Yorkie does this. Gracie has always put her forehead down and rubbed her nose on the floor when she first sniffs her food bowl (especially when she has fresh kibble). Does this mean something? She usually just sniffs and goes back later to eat. She also started rubbing her jaw on the floor whe she started teething. I assume this is due to her jaw hurting. Thanks! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm, it might be she just wants to get a whiff . She's not doing any odd head-behavior *after* she eats, is she? Like, pressing her head against the sofa or something? How old is she? Some dogs do rub the sides of their faces on things after they eat, or sometimes just to itch, so that seems pretty normal - esp. if she's teething.

| Lily rubs her eyes with the sides of her front feet, usually after she wakes up from a nap... kind of like we would rub our eyes when we wake up.

| When my Gracie is so excited she is about to bust, she rolls on her back and then rubs her head on the furniture or carpet. She also rubs her head when her scrunchie is too tight.

| Kayla will scratch her back feet like some males do, and then rub her face and sides of her head on the floor after she pottys. We have never figured that one out, but we know for sure when she poops somewhere. lol!!! |

| Yes, Bailey does that - after eating and after a bath. I think she's just using the carpet as a napkin/towell. And that is why I steam-clean the carpets once a month.

| Lil' Miss Izzie will roll on the floor and then take her paws and rub her eyes/nose when she gets up in the morning...kinda like she's trying to get the sleepies outta her eyes and motivating her body to wake up...it's a hoot to watch her do it....

| All three of my girls do this but only after a bath with I have them on the bathroom counter on a towel. I've had a few fosters that did the same thing. |

Tetley uses my carpet as a napkin after his supper unless I get to him first and wipe his face with a paper towel. He also does it after a bath while I'm blow drying him. | |

| Alphy rubs his face up against the couch, hutch, the side of one of my baskets, and the bed, like a cat does, all the time. Murphy does a nose dive into the big dog bed after eating and rubs his face into it. Abby (my golden - RIP) used to rub her face on the floor after eating like it was her big napkin.
