| I always worry that mine will be stolen. I never leave them in the backyard alone. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I walk Max by the park, and I'm always looking around, when somebody comes near to ask about him or to pet him, I just pick him up.

I Love My Babies Donating Member | It is scary. People who would do this should be shot. To steal someone's baby like that. Shame on them.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Occasionally we get posters who see an ad for a dog and the "breeder" won't give his name or references for "security reasons." They usually want to meet the buyer in a public place, and to me this sounds like they are selling stolen pups, so please don't buy your pup from someone who won't give you their name and address. In this case, however, since it's a pet store, I wonder if the thieves were part of an animal rights group liberation effort.

| I don't think it's an animal rights liberation group unless there were only four puppies in the pet store. Even if it is, that's still against the law. I hope the puppies are being well taken care of and not being used for nefarious reasons.

| It's Her!!! That is the woman who advertizes in the paper all the time....her ads says...2 pound sires and 3 pound dams...so I asked my daughter to take me to her place. It was an hour from here. She meets me at her shops and tells me to drive to her home to see the parents...it is against the law to sell puppies from your home in Dade county, FL..a $2000 fine so she rents this store front to sell her pups and pups of her friends. The parents were small, but not as small as she said...all the bitches were at least 4 to 5 pounds and the sires were 3 to 4 pounds... SO..we go back to the shop and she shows me what she called a Yorkie...had 7..not one was purebred..but tehy were only $600..I posted pic's of them on Yorkie Stars...some were chocolate with black and gold patches...one was almost all white..one was poodle orange. AND..get this, I asked her if she was worried someone would break in and steal the pups at night...she said they all go home with her.. Last edited by YorkieRose; 08-04-2008 at 03:35 PM. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | That is a shame. The thefts must have known which ones would reap profits. Otherwise why not take other dogs. I am sure there were more then 4 dogs in the shop. Hopefully, they are being cared for by a loving person. Would be nice if they were returned but how likely is that?
