Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | 2 reasons to smile today Its Friday On the way to work this am, there was a dog loose on the frontage road. The car in front of us was stopped trying to slow traffic. The dog ran past him towards us. I stopped, hubby opened the door and started coaxing it. She came to him. Poor baby she was a large mix, frantic trying to jump over the fence towards the highway, she would have been killed. While hubby stood petting her and giving her treats (just happened to have some handy), I called our animal control. Blasted place.....I listened to a recording for I swear seemed like forever and still no direction to talk to someone, so I hung up and called the Sherriff. The Sherriff who answered just happened to know my hubby thru work and he came to where we were. The dog had no collar, but followed my hubby to the Sherriffs car and jumped right in the back seat. He was taking her to the animal shelter where hopefully her mommy and daddy will come get her. I felt so great....We saved her from being hit on the highway. |

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | oh my gosh, how many times have all of us stopped to try to help an animal and they are so scared they run off. We call for help but are left wondering all day if they survived and was rescued. Today, I left feeling happy hearted. I would hope someone would be so kind to my babies. |

| That is so great that you helped that you and your husband acted so quickly to assure this dog's safety. Now I hope that either his owners are found and, or he goes to a good home for the little guys sake. |
