| Worried about tomorrow :( Tomorrow morning I take Layla in for a tooth extraction and I'm worried. They called tonight to explain the procedure and donig bloodwork before the anesthesia etc. I know it's probably going to turn out fine but I'm still worried anyway. I wish my baby didn't have to go through this!

| I will say a prayer for Layla. Both of my girls had to have teeth removed when they were spayed and they did fine. And, it is good that you are having bloodwork done, too. Good luck, Layla!

| I understand how you feel. You love your baby so much, and it is worrisome to have any type of procedure done. Just like our kids, there are always worries! Your Layla is going to be fine. It will be ok ! As long as you trust your vet and know that your dog will be in good hands then this will be all worth it in the long run.

| Thanks everyone for your thoughts. It just breaks my heart that here she is, sitting beside me with her tail wagging and wanting to play, with no idea what's going to happen tomorrow! I always feel so mean with things like this, like I'm decieving her or something even though she can't understand... haha maybe it's just late and I need to go to sleep

| Well said. It's tough being the 'grown up' but we have to do the right things for our babies. They depend on us to keep them healthy and safe, so at times we have to make those tough calls.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I now how you feel, last month Pixie had to go under for a cleaning due to really bad gums and plaque and she is only 2 1/2 and 4 lbs. I was a wreck, but she did great, I took her in at 8 and they called me by 10 saying she was out and fine. Make sure they call you as soon as she is out of surgery so you can relax. Pixie had to have antibiotics 3 days before and 5 after due ot her gums being so bad. She also had 5 teeth pulled .She came home at 4 that day and proceeded to grab a cow hoof and chew on it, like nothing happened. I will keep Layla in my prayers for a safe procedure. Keep us posted

| Layla is only 2 1/2 too, and I feel bad for her having teeth problems already! Luckily it's only one. They asked if I wanted a cleaning done too, but last time the vet said the rest of her teeth look fine. The back ones I've noticed are a little yellow, but just this one that's getting pulled is brown and loose. I said I wanted to see if the vet recommended a cleaning first. After she's awake again, will they keep her for the day to watch her? I guess I should have asked on the phone last night. I will be working until 5 so I want somebody to be with her!

| Oh yeah and this morning she was scratching at her food bag because she was so hungry, but I couldn't feed her. I went into the kitchen about 20 minutes later and she was standing there eating a kibble! The little bugger must have had one hidden somewhere. One kibble shouldn't matter though right?
