My little Shadow Donating YT Member | I know how you feel Hon! Bella was spayed yesterday & 2 baby teeth pulled. It is scary, but all the help/support & info learned on YT sure makes things feel alot better. I could be more knowledgeable in asking the right questions. I so wish I had scanned the paperwork I had to sign before her surgery to help others with questions about this. Here's Bella's post: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/spe...ng-spayed.html If you feel uncertain about anything, just ask. I found that once I got home.....I thought I was prepared, but when she was crying/uncomfortable, I felt so helpless. Someone here will be there to support you.....just to talk, if needed. I wish Fergie all the Best! Pls keep us posted when you can. Hugs from Bella/Mommy!

| I know how you feel, I was a nervous wreck, felt like a horrible mother to inflict such pain from surgery on my little girl. After getting the nerve up (I canceled the appts. a few times) I took Jazzie in, picked her up that evening, she slept, after a while I gave her a few pieces of her dry dog food, she nibbled, drank some water, picked her up gently took her to tinkle. Came back in she slept well till the next day. The next morning my eyes were like saucers when she acted like she was ready to play! The doc told me to keep her still for 2-3 days, oh my gosh, she was ready to run and play, I kept her still but it was not so easy . Moral of the story... they recover quite well and quick. Lots of luck to your little one.

| Make sure that she has pre-surgery bloodwork. Also...are you taking her home with you the first day? I always have done that...I like to have them near me so I can keep an eye on them. If the vet wants her to stay there overnight, make sure that they have an attendant!!!! Good luck Fergie!!

| Gracie just had this done last week, along with 2 baby teeth pulled. Seems to be a common number. I had Daddy take her in, I got to rescue her. bwhahaha It is hard on our nerves, but they are so much better off for it in the long run. I trust my doctor 100%, and knew he'd take the very best care with her. It slowed her down for maybe 2 days, she was very cuddly and slept a bit more then usual, but really didn't seem to be in too much discomfort. After that she was right back in the thick of things. Take a deep breath, let it out, give her some extra hugs and play time and everything will be alright. Remember they are very in tuned to our moods, so be as positive and upbeat as you can for her sake. Come here on Thurs and we will help you through.

| If you have a good vet, and you do.... (otherwise you would not have it scheduled.... ) there is nothing for you to worry about. Vet medicine has come along quite a bit and neutering is a very simple procedure for an experienced vet. He will be "groggy" when he wakes up from anesthesia and your real concern must be just "how to confine" him for the first few days so he is not jumping all over... well... this is what my Yorkies do anyways... I had it done tons of times, spaying is a bit bigger surgery but not scary anymore... C-sections are a big deal but as i said , vet medice is diferent now days and they can do a lot and are so much more cautious. YOU WILL BE FINE... oh yeah... your baby too. XOXOXOX to both of you , relax and rest !!!

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | You can buy the onsies for babies. I bought a pack of 5 @Walmart. Just snap the 2 side snaps....leave the middle snap open for the tail. The front side will be on the furbabies back. Don't know what I would be doing without them right now.

| I am going to have to remember the onesie's ! I wish all of your furbies a speedy recovery ! It is never easy to put them through that, however, it is best for their health.
