| Requesting Puppy Cut Pics! Can those of you whose babies have puppy cuts please post some pictures? Mocha's going to the groomer's next Tuesday and I'm considering giving him a full puppy cut, but I'm a little worried about how it'll turn out. His coat right now is about 2-3 inches long and I've kept his face a little longer so that it's long enough for a bow. I still want to be able to put hair bows/clips in his hair, but I would like to have his hair shorter and no more beard. I just don't want him to have a Shanauzer cut/look though. Ideally, I would like his hair cut to be very similar to when he was a puppy (about 3-4 months old). But now that his fluffy puppy coat has grown out and he has fine, silky hair, I'm afraid it might not look right? Can anybody help me to get ideas of how I should have his hair cut? TIA

| I'll pipe in with my advice since Isabel just got a hair cut in a full body puppy cut fashion about three weeks ago. Up until this point she has only ever been "trimmed". I haven't posted any recent pictures here on YT of her because I don't like how she turned out!! She's small anyway and now she looks even more fragile with her little chicken legs. But I think the most shock was her face. My advice would be that you would probably do well with legs and body in the puppy cut, but leave the face as is or maybe just not a full puppy cut. I miss Isabel's look in her little beard...she looks so different and I can't wait until it grows out! The groomer did seem to think that the puppy cut would possibly enhance the look of her coat when it grows in, but I'm not so sure about that. Just my two cents...oh, and I will PM you a picture of her..let me go back into my camera and find one. Let us know what you decide!

| Oh one more thing (sorry)...I know you said you don't want the schnauzer look, but one detail that groomers will do that is a technique where they razor down the nose. I wasn't sure I'd like this look since they do it also for schnauzers (sp?), but for Isabel it actually enhanced the look of her beard and just kept her overall eyes/nose area easier to maintain. Just my opinion...

| Paisley's do Here is my Paisley. I love the way my groomer cuts her. She gets a scissor cut. I like her body short, not shaved, and her face not too short with a topknot. The first time I took her to this groomer I brought pictures of what I liked. I guess you would say she has a puppy cut.

| Paisley is the way I *wish* Isabel would have turned out. I'm all for preserving the face! If you're used to a grown out face then go puppy cut on the face it just look shockingly different.

| Thanks so much for your thoughts! I would love to see pics of Isabel's puppy cut I've always told the groomer to not shave the bridge of his nose, as I was told that it'll never grow back the same way. It would stick up and won't lay flat when I'm putting his hair in a topknot. I really like the idea of having that area cleaner and easier to maintain, but I guess I'm just nervous about the fact that it's so permenant. I don't want to try it and end up not liking it, because it won't grow back the same way I'm also nervous about this decision because it's his birthday next week and I don't want him to have a bad hair cut for his birthday party lol. | Aww that's the perfect cut! Mocha's hair is almost like that right now, but it's a bit longer. Maybe I should just have him trimmed instead of going too short and regretting it Quote:

| Here's Elvis in his new cut...I'm not so happy with it I guess mostly because all his puppy black is gone. I miss his old look and just can't get used to the new one. I will say that his new silver is such a pretty color, but want it to get longer for sure. His topknot is a mess in this pic, sorry.

| Thank you for posting, everyone! I love all of your babies' puppy cuts This really helps me get an idea of the kind of cut I want. I'm going to have his body cut short and leave his face longer (just trimmed). I'll be sure to post some pics after the grooming
