Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Question about silver pups.... Ok toby came home last night and before he was the typical tan and black...he is now showing a lot of silver on his head and when I part his coat I see a lot as well. I know he is starting his changes. Does anyone have a pup that had tons of silver at 3 plus months...I would like to see pics of them older...wondering if Toby the bubble butt will be all silver as an adult. Here are two pics...

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Ramsey turned very early. Her head is gold...however her back has never been steel blue...hers is very light. When you look at the new growth..it always looks like it is coming in darker, but it never happens. Toby is so stinking cute!! I could just squeeze him!! Not too tight though.

| My Cheyenne at 4.5 months has lots of silver. As a tiny puppy and now even her legs were silver. I recall by looking at pictures of my 3 year old Rusty that he too had a lot of silver, but he is now a nice gold and blackish-silver-blue. They change colors until age 3 I've read. Hope this picture shows the silver.

| My Emmy 2 years old. As a puppy she was black and tan. When her coloring changed she has a beautiful silver body (very light silver) with silky long fur. Her head and legs are light tan. She is very beautiful. I keep saying if she were a human she would be a blonde for sure.

| I have 4 yorkies and only one has turned out with an all gold head and then a silver body. He started turned very early and his silver is really light. The other 3 basically have silver heads, blonde or gold faces and silver backs. The aren't the breeed standard coloring wise, but I guess that's why so much pride is taken in a show dog. I just love them howeveer they are. To me....Yorkies are adorable no matter whatSo to me I would say it is perfectly normal and your baby is going to turn out beautiful! |
