| Intro for MolLeigh Diane (or Mol-Rat when she gets in trouble) Hello YT, I had originally joined this forum after finding a purebred Yorkie running loose at our local cemetery in Holdenville, OK. The yorkie appears to be lost or a stray. We could not capture it, so we left food and water. We go to the cemetery to walk our dogs in the evening. This poor dog has been running and hiding in the drainage tunnels and is smart enough to escape the dog catcher for at least 10 days now. It has been 100 F. lately, and we hope the poor fella's owners have found him. I saw where one of the regular YT members here posting was from Holdenville, so I thought I would ask her/him if they knew anyone who lost a yorkie. But apparently she does not return DM's. Hope I didn't scare her. I have really enjoyed the YT site. ********* So, I thought I would post a pic of our happy family. I put the picture with MolLeigh Diane (the brown middle sized one), and "Baby" (AKC Yorkie pup) and Maggie Lou (our poodle mix who was dumped by the side of the road 12 years ago) as my avatar. "Baby" only lived for 7 months. She died of an enlarged heart. MolLeigh Diane (pronounced Molly) is one tough little girl. She is the best watch dog we have and she does not cower in fear from any other dog or human. She is 3/4 yorkie and 1/4 maltese. We also have an AKC GSD female. They all get along great. I have enjoyed reading all the posts. And I especially like the informative posts about health issues and such. P.S. That picture of Baby in the jack-o-lantern was featured on Gary England's Hot Shots last holloween. Gary England is our local weatherman for OKC. | You have a lovely family. I'm sorry you lost little Baby. What a doll. MolLeigh Diane (cute name) is very pretty, too. All of them are. Welcome to YT. Have you seen the lost yorkie anymore?

| Welcome, you have a beautiful family....Sorry about your little Baby, surely she's watching over you !!! Worried about the little guy running around...Crafty little bugger !!! Maybe if someone sat down with some water and food (maybe bacon-scent is strong) he would approach you !? He wouln't be so intimated with height??? If that's the case....It's worth a try....Don't know what preditors you have where you live, but would be good if you got to him first !

| Yes, the first time we saw the poor yorkie, it ran to a drainage culvert. We went home and brought back food, and the dog was famished. It has been loose for 2 weeks at least. We heard 2 days ago from another man who walks his dog at the cemetery that the stray is STILL loose. As a matter of fact, the dog catcher said he knows where it sleeps. The dog is very smart, and sneaks between the cage and his bedding area to escape capture. We think it is a male, approximately 4 lbs, and looks exactly like the stud dog for our MolLeigh. See pic posted at bottom. The dog catcher/animal rescue said he would call us when he captures it. But it has been 107 degrees here lately. And you know yorkies are not built for outside living. We have no idea how the little rascal is managing it, but he does. I hope the little fella makes it, and if he comes into our hands, we will place him in a good home. I have a feeling he will be VERY independent. I guess the lady who also lives here in Holdenville does not want to answer my private msg., which is fine, considering all the weirdos nowadays. But we really don't know of any other yorkie owners here in our small town of Holdenville, Oklahoma. We were hoping she might know someone who lost their yorkie. P.S. I know our yorkie likes women much better than strange men. Maybe a soft voice and some coaxing will do it. We will ask a lady friend we know to try. Who is the member you are trying to contact thru PM?? I wonder if it is someone who hasn't been on YT for sometime. Did you check her user profile to see the last time she was signed into YT? Some people do not have email notification set up to receive notice that they have a PM - not sure why. I recently was traveling and thought it would be fun to at least talk with someone in the area I was going to visit - sent the gal 2 PM - never heard back from her - and she hadn't been on YT for 6 mths

| I just now read your message you sent me I am sorry I haven't been on lately. I haven't heard of anyone missing their Yorkie but I work at a local bank and I will spread the word. You would be surprised how many Yorkies there are in this little town on my block alone there are 4 families of Yorkies. You might call the local radio station when they have the program where people call in. Keep us posted how things go

| Captured!! GOOD NEWS! UPDATE! I can't believe it! That Yorkie that was running loose at the cemetery has finally been captured! Crazy dog survived at least 2 months in the Oklahoma heat. To LilBit, if you know anyone who may want to take a chance on this little ruffian, (he is a true survivor), contact the poodle grooming place in Holdenville. It is the one close to the *First United Bank. Sorry, I cannot remember the name of the groomer. *LilBit will know which one I am speaking of, we live in a small town. I cannot believe the poor guy has eluded capture for so long, so he may have "issues" such as fearfulness, not being housebroken, and who knows what health issues he may have. |
