| Car Seat & Convertible Mustang... HELP! I need help finding a Car Seat for Lola (she's 4 pounds) and it needs to fit the Center Console of my 2000-Mustang Convertible. I've tried out one's that fit in the back seat, but I don't like the way they fit. My husband and I are both tall people and our seats have to be all the way back/reclined in order to drive/sit comfortable. So this is why we need one for the console. Here is what my console looks like: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ictureid=15470 As you can see my console opens from Left-to-Right instead of Front-to-Back like SUV Center Consoles open. Also SUV Car Seat will not fit in my front seat. They are way to big. One other thing... we don't like is the "Faux Wool" it knots up Lola's semi-long hair. I have been looking for one for almost 2 months now, can anyone help? Please!

| I had the Snoozer console car seat. And to keep the car seat in place you definitely need your console to open front to back to insert the 3rd stap on the seat. My console opened in 3 different ways so I was able to put the 3rd strap in. Or else I can imagine the seat flipping backwards.

| We Need a Car Seat For Lola Quote:
I thought... since she doesn't want to show anymore, maybe she might want to help others. So I'm going to start training her to be a Medical Alert Dog. We would also love to visit Children's Hospital and Nursing Homes. I love to bring a smile to the face of others. So what better way to do it. She is so alert and aware of peoples feelings, and has so much patience with people when they want to touch her or even hold her. I want one so bad! I just can't find one that will fit our needs. I don't think any of the Car Seat Companies will make one for us. So, I thought of some type of clip that will hooks under the entire center console instead of just to the lid. I'm not sure if it will work... but it would only be able to be fastened on the 2 sides and the back. I can't think of a way to clip the front of the seat. Something to think about??

| If your the crafty kind of person. I've seen someone on ebay using those plastic storage boxes and making a padded cover to custom fit. And then she added her own safety straps. It looks really cute! Here's the link .... CUSTOM SMALL SIZE DOG CAR SEAT PET CARRIER BED lookout - eBay (item 170223501410 end time May-31-08 16:39:44 PDT) Maybe you can show her your console and she can make something for you. It's either that or you can use this as a reason to buy a new car.

| PetGear also makes a center console carseat. If driving in the convertible, I suggest you get a pet helmet! It looks a little funny but can help save their life. |

I installed the "Roll Bar Light Kit" that you see on the Mustang Cobra Convertibles. I too, didn't like that there wasn't something between our heads and the pavement. Lola has never been in the car with the top down, and she wont until she has her seat. I guess if she's will be wearing a helmet... I should get her some sun glasses to wear with it. Now she will be very cute!

| I know they are not, and I have two out of the three. You are the first Mustang owner I've meet on YT. If I find the seat, I will let you know. I'll send you a friend request, so that way I will not forget your name.

| Thats a great idea Dina! If your really needing something to custom fit your car... maybe creating something like this isnt a bad idea. Of course you'll need something a bit smaller... but maybe it could be an option? If not, Im sure there has to be something out there for ya Quote:

I'm definitely going to be placing an order, for 2 of them. One in pink and one in black. This way I can get some very cute photo's of Lola, sitting on her daddy's bike. Although, I don't think I'm going to tell him. I want to wait... and surprise him for his birthday that is coming up on Oct 1. This way he will have some great photos of his daughter, to show off to the crew at work. LOL (I think only girls do this) Yes, he calls from the Construction Site, 2-3 times a day, to ask what "HIS" daughter is doing, only if his employees knew, that his daughter has 4 legs and sleeps all day. It's always the same answer, "she's still sleeping on her back, with her feet in the air". When he calls now, I don't even say hello, I just tell him what he wants to hear. You know, I see lots of bigger dogs riding Harley's and other bike's. But I would be terrified for Lola to ride with us. Actually, I haven't road since we brought her. I think it would be like taking a preemie- new born baby on the bike (well they are the same size). I just don't think I could not do it. She is only 4 pounds and that is just to small. I could probably put her in my pocket Thanks again... Heidi! My husbands Birthday is coming and this would be a great gift idea for him and Lola.
