| VERY PLAYFUL PUPPIES and Sleeping Habits It has been a long time since I have had 2 Yorkies. It's nice being at this time in my life where I can spend more time with them. Perhaps it is the puppy stage but....when they play with one another they can get a little rough with one another. Sometimes I will hear a squeal but it's very quick. I think one has bit just a little too hard. Both of them take their shots with each other equally so I don't see that one is trying to be the alpha and overpowering the other. One other question - it seems that my single Yorkies slept earlier in their life, through the night. These two don't. THey are up every 4 hours. I think there are times where one wakes the other and visa versa. They sleep together in the same crate - perhaps I should put them in separate crates? I have always kept them together as I thought it would make them feel like they are back in a litter. Your suggestions are appreciated!

| I am a new yorkie owner & have many questions & am no where near experienced with yorkies. I would try separating them at night. It sounds like they are together often & may need that alone time to just be by themselves. Maybe they will appreciate each other the next day & will play nicer. I tried to bump you up so you get some thoughts from the other yorkie veterans. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Puppy and dog playing can sound very rough. I have three and was sometimes taken aback how rough they play...however, I have witnessed "real" fights and there is a definite difference. How old are they? Many puppies have to potty in the middle of the night. So I would guess one who has to go out...is waking the other. Seperate sleeping quarters may help...but then again....there will probably be a middle of the night potty break regardless.
