So I was looking on Craigslist and came across one ad that said: free t-cup yorkie. Well first I laughed, then I said well I want to see what they are going to say so I hurried up and wrote them back before they got flagged and told them I wanted the free t-cup....lol anyways they wrote me back with this:

I just wrote them back and told them I live in the USA and everything they asked then said "so all I have to do is pay for the shipping?" I'm waiting for a response if i'll even get one. Here's the pictures they attached with the e-mail. And I know i've seen these pictures before, probably because its a SCAM!! Right when I finished writing them I went back to flag the posting and somebody already had....thanks goodness.

Yeah...that Camroon scam has been around for awhile. Now this creep thinks you've taken the bait, and he's probably going to e-mail you to death...forever. Good luck.

I actually was so stupid,that last christmas there was a offer for two maltese pups for $300.00 . The person actually told me her phone number and e-mail address...I never thought it was a scam,she said she was in a church missionary and had to move with them to Africa and it was too hot and just wanted to re-home them together.All I had to pay was shipping. She actually called me and gave me her church secretary name and everything to send the wired money to. She e-mailed pictures and videos of them....LOL I, like a fool wired my kids christmas money to her ...he..... IT!!!! LESSON LEARNED!!!! My birthday is the day after christmas,and I cried all day. It was devastating. I reported her . She spelled her name (ROBBIN With 2 B"s) and when I goggled it, it was a scam and had happened to several people. I will never be so ignorant again.

Don't worry, that little pup probably belongs to someone else. These scam artists just steal pictures; there are actually no dogs, involved, thank goodness. I had to laugh when they said she weighed 2/3 of a pound, because that really is a little "little micro T-cup."

It is definitely a hard lesson learned

I, personally, was always too scared to buy anything over the internet. If I couldn't see it in person, then I didn't buy it. It has only been recently that I have actually started buying stuff off of ebay. I really don't like paying for something before I actually get it.

I would flag their ad, but I would not respond to these people, you have given them a valid e-mail address, and they can sell that. You are likely to be dealing with a computer, and not to many "real" people. These scam artists work on percentage. If just a tiny percentage fall for it, they made out well, after all, what's there real costs? Most the places they advertise are free. I also noticed that the grammar and sentence structure differ greatly between the first and the second emails. I almost wonder if the first email was what someone else wrote about a puppy, and they copied that. Their second email may have been written by them.

Someone ran an ad in the local paper the other day...
and when they contacted me it was this similar scam. I hate they got my email... I told them I couldn't help them...
It is a shame these scam artist...just a shame...to scam people.

That's exactly what they do now, since people here in the States are catching on to this Camaroon scam. They have had to evolve...or get better to fool people. This clown most likely stole the pups discription word for word from the very ad he stole the pics from.

I nearly fell for a scam like this. I contacted the police and told them about the advert, the site it was on, and described the advert.

The police put a warning in the newspapers, and the adverts were removed from the site. I say adverts, because there were many pets advertised.
