| Maxi's story inspired me... I was feeling very sorry for myself until I read hers. I'd had a horrible day yesterday and a horrible week overall. Then, around midnight last night, one of my Yorkies started falling down, like she couldn't stand up. Of course my first thought was hypoglycemia, but we couldn't get her out of it. My husband and I spent the night in the ER with her. Ammonia level was 331. She's still in PICU and I have ten more minutes until I can call our local vet to get her transferred. When I signed in tonight, I was wondering how we were going to deal with the $3,000 in vet bills it's going to take to fix this, then I clicked on Maxi's thread, and I knew how we were going to deal with it. We're just going to do the same thing she's done. We're going to remember that it's a little life that's like a child to us, and we're going to do whatever we can to fix it, whatever it costs. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | So sorry your baby is sick. Hope she gets better soon. Whenever faced with high vet bills which with 4 is quite often, I just think of all the joy they bring me and find a way to get the money.
