| What is the consensus on putting bows in Male Yorkies hair? I have a 6 month old male Yorkie named "Cooper" He is the love of my life. I would like to put a top knot bow in his hair but am afraid that ppl will think he is a girl. What do most people do? Thanks This is my first post and I have been having fun reading all the threads. There is a lot of wonderful information. Hugs Cher and Coup |

| Hi! Welcome to YT! I think it's up to you...or your pup. Gizmo has only recently started tolerating them.

| Welcome to YT! When Timmy's topknot was long I use to put his hair up. I use to put it up with a band and once in a blue moon use a bow (but hubby didn't like the bow) Right now his bangs are cut short so no topknots for him for a while. I kind of like his bangs short and thinking about keeping them like that. I guess it depends what mood I'm in when I'm grooming him |

| There are bows available just for boys!!!...... I purchased some great patriotic ones and also some camo ones for Seymour. ALso the basic boy colors are great, too!! (and it doesn't matter......bow or no bow...... many people think that Seymour is a girl.... so actually the bow sometimes HELPS if it is a "boy" bow!

| I see nothing wrong with it. If your pup is small. One of our member's made some boy bows with little baseballs, footballs etc on them and they were adorable. I wish I could put a bow on Buddy but he's just too big and really looks silly. I did it once for fun and he really looked totally ridiculous. |

| Welcome to YT. I think boy Yorkies look cute with bows in their hair and you can buy "boy" themed bows. But my husband wouldn't like it if I tried to put one in my Rudy's hair. I probably don't think Rudy would like it either.

| I think its fine for those boys to wear the boy themes. Doesn't matter people don't look at colors even on a baby they will guess male /female and not see the girl has pink. Why would it be a boy? So probably the only ones that will )

| I sell tons of boy bows! They are almost as popular as girl bows. They key is "manly" bows. My sports related bows are always the most popular. A football bow in your DH or BF's team colors always wins them over! Just look how handsome Tucker is! |

| Thanks for all the great replys. I did put a red bow in his hair today that I thought was quite adorable but my son and daughter thought it was "gross" since he is a boy. I did order some camoflage ones and a patriotic one. I think He looks cute too. So what do they know anyway???? he's my dog.... LOL Thanks everyone. Hugs Cher & Cooper |

| When I do bows in customer's dogs that are male I try to do sports themes or camo colors. We are in the south, so John Deere colors are a big hit! I think boys need bows too. It makes them feel handsome!!! I love the fancy bows that you order, but for customers I usually just make simple little bows. They are not hard to do and walmart has ribbon with sports themes!
