| When is a long Car ride okay for a little one My family and I travel back and forth to see our relatives often. We aren't going to travel for a while once we bring home our little pup. I do want to go up to our familys' for christmas and wanted to know if a 4-5 hour car ride is too much on a 6 month old puppy? We travel all the time with our golden but she was about a year old when we first traveled with her. Will it be too traumatic for him you think? I am trying to figure it out now to see if we should schedule our days off or just hold off. |

| We travel with Brooklyn (now 6mos.) and Oliver all the time. Just take frequent breaks for potty and stretch. they do great. I have the lookout car seats for them and they love it!

| He will be fine just take him on trips with you in the car now so he gets used to it. I always bring mine something to chew on it keeps them occupied in the car. I had a 2 1//2 hr trip when I bought mine home when they were just babies and they did fine

Donating YT 10K Club Member | All three of mine travel longer than that difference when they were months younger than yours. He'll be fine. If you haven't gotten him used to car rides...I'd suggest some short trips.

| Shelby & Seymour started traveling when they were about 16 weeks old...... lots of potty breaks and a safe comfy seat in the car. (we have a snoozer car seat that they are harnessed in and they like it)

| My pup is 12 weeks old and we just got back from a 12hour roadtrip with her. She did fine, I just lined the back seat with puppy pads and took 3 or 4 breaks so she can run around. Most of the way she slept |

| They like to travel. When they get tired, they just sleep.
