| Night...day I feel like chatting about my yorkie babies, beware it will be long and probably bore the heck out of most of you. I would love to hear more about your babies and their personalities too. It is so amazing to me how we can really really KNOW our dogs personalites just by how they act. Night and Day That would be the personalities of my two lovely yorkie ladies. Bella is a diva, she is prim and proper and will accept nothing but the best. She is picky about her food, her hair and even what position she sits in while she is held. She is such a diva that she will only offer up puppy kisses to me...no one else is suitable. She is very small and has the ferociousness of a lion. She has many larger fursiblings in the household and she expects that they will allow her to dominate and she won't let down until they just give up. When I take her outside for walks she acts as though we are lazy and can't keep up, she literally walks circles around us and runs the entire time. She is a spaz (and I mean that in the nicest way), when someone is visiting and wants to pet her she is dodging and moving around so much they can't even make contact. She is a barker, a piercing yappy barker much like people who haven't been owned by a yorkie imagine them to be. But knowing her so well, she barks when the big dogs go outside.. because it isn't her that is the center of attention. She barks when she hears me get up, because I haven't come to her quick enough, she barks when I get home from work.... same thing. Her barks are simply her way of saying... pay attention to me, love me, feed me.. i'm here.. look i'm here... you will never forgot I"M HERE!!!! Then there is Coco, she is mellow and compact as loving as they come. She will tolerate anyone holding her and is more then happy as long as it is attention she is getting. She will lay in your lap and kiss, kiss kiss... if she knew how to purrrr i'm certain we would hear it constantly. She loves attention from anyone that she can get it from, she won't beg for it but is more then willing to wait until you notice she is there and pick her up for some 1 on 1 time. She is a compact, non-picky little tank...weighing in at a solid 4.25lbs. She loves all her fursiblings and has not one thought of trying to be the boss of anyone, she will imediately lay on her belly when she is somewhere new or near a new dog as if to say.. I mean you no harm, please be my friend. Coco seldom barks, but will play along with Bella when she get's going, i'm fairly certain its just a peer pressure thing. If Coco is left out, like when Bella is getting a bath or if i'm holding Bella and Coco is still in her ex-pen she will whimper quietly as if she doesn't want to really disturb anyone but is oh so sad. I of course will pick her up and kiss her little chocolate chip nose as soon as I get a chance. So, 2 Yorkshire terriers with 2 totally different personalities. I can't even imagine my life without them and they have only been in it for such a short time already.

| This post is so sweet! It is amazing how our dogs are as unique in personality as any of the people we know. I've only got the one sweet boy -- but he is different from the other dogs I have had in the past, both of whom also had behaviors that were unique to them. I often wonder, if I do get Archie a little sissy, what she will be like!
