| siezures Is it common for Yorkies to develop siezures, or brain tumors. My Yorkie is only about 8 years old.

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk...I would say they are about just as prone as any other breed. Yorkie do have medical problems that are more prevalent to the breed such as liver shunt,LP. But from what I've learn here, liver shunt can have many different signs and symptoms such as seizures.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome. I think it is just the same as any breed. I don't believe it is something that is common like liver shunt is in yorkies.

| Is your dog having seizures? Not all seizures are caused by brain tumors. Some are caused by epilepsy and a host of other causes. If it is epilepsy causing the seizures, there are inexpensive meds that can control them. A dog having seizures should be taken to the vet pronto. |
