| Scorpions?!? For the past two weeks we have found scorpions EVERYWHERE!! Most of them have been dead or half dead but if one were to sting Lily what would be the best thing to do? I didn't' know if she would have to go to the vet or if there is something I can have on hand just in case? Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks for the help I am trying to be proactive so I don't freak out when/if it ever happens! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | We have scorpions around here, not so bad as our last house though. When they sting it's similar to a wasp in the pain level and reaction. In other words, if you are allergic to bees and wasps you would probably be to a scorpion sting. For treatment of scorpion stings I would keep on hand, benadryl and anything else you might normally use for wasp stings.

| I dont know what they would do to a Yorkie?? I was stung about 6 weeks ago and I thought I was going to die!! Nothing works either, not Benadryl, nothing. The emergency rooms will only take you if you have problems breathing. YOu just have to suffer for about 12 hours. My finger is still numb where it stung me. And once you get a colony established on your place or in the house, they are almost impossible to get rid of. By the way, the scorpion did not get away!!

Lily is our 11 week old Yorkie so I am afraid she will be overly curious and try to eat or play with the scorpion!! | |
