well I better get off here now, still waiting on DH to finish mowing so we can go see her.
She showed us a big bag of Solid Gold and now that you mention that, I think she said she does get it delivered. I remember it being Solid Gold because it was the same food Wrigley's breeder had suggested when we got her as a puppy!
I'm so anxious to see the pictures and hear about her!!

That would be great. Im going to go see her tomorrow and go from there. I will find out more about her and see how she acts around me. The breeder said shes a big sweet heart. But I bet she will be scared, Thats how the last three adult Yorkies I've seen of hers acted and the one that Reese1 got Camden was matted bad and scared. but she came out of it great. I dont think their around many people at all. and the one that another member on here was going to take , shes the one that the breeder sent off to have groomed and the groomer sedated her and it killed her. Thats was Camdens sister Buffy.

Oh my lord.... groomer sedated it & it killed the poor thing... CRAZY.
Yes, any details you can get us would be great. If she is terribly skidish we would have to pass. We already have Tucker that is going to take us FOREVER to be able to home due to his fear of people.
Keep my updated though & I would love to see pics when you get them. If you would like you can email all details & pics to okyorkierescue@gmail.com
Thanks

Camden was scared when we went and got her and she is afraid of noises and shy around people that come into the house. She feels in control of the yard and likes to let our neighbors know it!
She is so loving to us though and loves to sit in our laps, we love her to death!
She's continues to thrive and grow and we have only had her like 2 months!

Sounds like you have done a fantastic job with her. Tucker is progressing as well.... but ONLY with Kelly. He is a fear biter... not good. As soon as Kelly gets him even warmer she is going to have people start coming over & taking him to the dog park to try & spread his wings a little.... now that he has ACTUALLY been around people... that is exactly what he wants, to be around people. He sure LOVES his Kelly

Well we are trying, but we know it's going to take time. We brought her to a Yorkie meet-up locally in May and she didn't make a peep! She didn't go up anyone, but I figured it was good exposure for her. It's good that it's summer, so she is seeing alot of people out in their yards and our house is right across from the community pool, so she hears alot of noise from there. I can't say she's been around alot of people, but she has done fine with everyone at the vets and the groomer. She also let our cleaning lady pet her this last time, so that was progress!
Wrigley, who we got as a puppy is really shy around people too, it takes her forever to warm up!
Crosley loves everyone who will pet her and throw a ball!

Does Tucker bite people, dogs or both out of fear?

Oh, poor guy! Are you working on him by just exposing him to alot of different people or what kinds of things are you doing and would you suggest?
Camden doesn't act like that when we are out, but I know that she's territorial of the house and our yard. She's super sweet to us and the few places she's been, she's never acted out, but we don't have a ton of company that comes to the house. So I'm wondering about that kind of thing.

right now he is not being exposed to different people.. only myself and my b/f.. If you expose them to too many people at once it can become overwhelming and stressful. I have not personally seen him bite anyone just hear stories and it sounds like it's fear.. My biewer thinks he is Alpha over everyone and got into it with tucker and tucker never bit back.. i just pulled parker off of him. I do think that tucker has thought about biting me but i correct it before it happens.

I have another mill rescue that is my own dog and from experience i would say let her get comfortable with you and your family.. then start to socialize her.. When i got lily i had her for probably a month and took her to a local meet up.. she LOVES other dogs.. she even went up to a few people.. The next meet up she was going up to a lot more people.. it's all about trust.. i think it just depends on how neglected the dog was as to how fast they will turn around.. i know tucker is doing everything MUCH slower than lily.

Lily is still not 100% okay but compared to when i got her she is MUCH better. Loud noises and sudden movements still scare her but i think is getting better

But ill post again as soon as I get some pictures.

We've had Camden since the end of April, she is used and loves us, but she is nervous if anyone comes into our house.
I think at the breeders, she wasn't used to seeing people much and she lived kind of in the country, so she wasn't used to alot of noise and stuff going on.
I agree it is all about the trust and we just want her to be happy!
I'm so happy there are good people who want to offer their homes, time and love to make a better life for these babies!
